I am so thankful, beyond words, for my heavenly citizenship, purchased for me by the blood of Jesus. This is my most valuable treasure, and I pray I will be found worthy of it 💕

I’m so thankful that my hope is in the Lord and not in this election 🙌🏻

I’m thankful that I can abide in the shelter and dwell under the wings of my Savior, no matter what each moment brings!

Thanksgiving Day #4

Do you know the Lord is at hand?? Jesus is truly coming soon 🔜 we have EVERY reason to rejoice!

And we should rejoice in all things - we have been SAVED and SET FREE - there is nothing that can by any means harm us if we are IN Christ Jesus!! 💕💕

I have the privilege to work a Kairos weekend at the TDCJ Hilltop Unit for Women at Gatesville, September 12-15, 2024. (Kairos Prison Ministry International is a ministry whose mission is to develop a Christian community inside prisons.) There is a way you can join me in taking the love of Jesus to them.

Since this is a prison, we are not allowed to take much inside. One thing that is allowed is a prayer chain. To show the women that people are praying for them, we make a prayer chain that we hope will completely circle the room and then some. Some of these women do not have visitors and seldom realize that anyone cares about them. If you are willing to pray for the women and this Kairos weekend, please reply to this post with your first name and city. This information will be put on a prayer chain link for the weekend. I was scanning an old prayer journal this morning and came upon a few thoughts the Lord has shared with me. I pray they bless you today 💕

To live under a shadow, you must stay close enough to be covered by it. You may see the welcoming shade of a beautiful tree on a sweltering day, but unless you draw near the tree and rest under its canopy, you will never know the refreshment, cooling, and peaceful breeze that comes from its shelter.

God advises us in Psalm 91 of the blessings that come for the person who MAKES the most high their shelter, who live close enough to Him to experience the fullness of His presence, protection, and peace.

As you go through this day, and all days to come - ask yourself - have I loved Him? Have I delighted in Him? And have I been loyal to His name?

We ALL need to seek Holy Spirit for help in this, cause none of these things we can do in our flesh.

1 Corinthians 2:14 states “The natural person does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him, and he is not able to understand them because they are spiritually discerned.”

God has already deposited everything we need for life and godliness, everything we need to love and delight in Him, to honor Him, and to be loyal to His name.

The blessings He lists are numerous for the person who does this...who stays close and lives under His covering. No fear, no worry of trouble, cause He is with you. Protection from the unseen enemy. Answered prayers, and peace. The FULLNESS of His salvation and long life.

Today, don’t let troubles steal from you...because we are promised troubles will come.

Control what you can control and trust God in everything.

Be mindful of those beside you and encourage them in their path

Look to the shelter of the Lord, the refreshing and peaceful dwelling place. You enter with just a whisper of His name as your heart stays focused on Him.

This is not perfection - this is relationship. The most beautiful you will ever experience, and the manifested blessings are endless. The peace and love that flows through you will spill out and light the world around you - replacing darkness with Gods marvelous light.

This is a powerful revelation, and one of the MANY reasons I am an advocate for reading Scripture with an understanding of the original language 👏🏻

Scripture confirms Scripture. It does not contradict itself - it affirms itself. It builds from one truth to another!

From Isaiah to Peter - this truth is declared!

Today, I can proclaim with confidence that I am Gods ‘spoken word’, “claimed as his own”before I was even a thought on this earth.

And when He speaks, his word is accomplished!

Therefore, I will not return to him void, but will accomplish everything he has planned and purposed for me to do!!

I heard an interesting statement on the radio this morning and it hit all the boxes today.

In a conversation about perspective in life's trials, the morning host said the following:

"I have officially survived 100% of my most difficult and tragic moments."

We have survived. We will continue to survive.

The perspective shift is in HOW we are surviving - are we just getting by, or are we thriving in the midst?

The key to thriving in the midst of suffering is the sacrifice of praise.

It shifts the focus, and lifts our head. Even when we are bowed down, if we begin to praise, there is a physical manifestation of God's presence that strengthens.

This is why Nehemiah 8:10 states "...the joy of the Lord is your strength."

Be strengthened in your sacrifice of praise today, and remember - you will 100% survive!!
