Our Lady Queen of Peace

Our Lady Queen of Peace Welcome to the Our Lady Queen of Peace page. We are a Roman Catholic Church located in Grafton, OH

We are a Roman Catholic family centered in the Eucharist, rooted in our immigrant traditions since the 1800’s and devoted to our Blessed Mother. Humbly guided by the Holy Spirit, and with the warmth and hospitality that springs from a small community, we seek to share our faith in Jesus Christ through prayer, devotion, education, stewardship, and service to others.

Today we celebrate the Feast of Corpus Christi—the gift of Jesus truly present in the Eucharist. ✨
Across the world, Catholics take to the streets in Eucharistic processions, publicly proclaiming what we believe: Christ is with us.
As we walk with Jesus through our neighborhoods and communities, may our hearts remember that He is not distant. He is near. He remains.

Today is the feat day of St. Pope Paul VI.

Paul VI, originally born as Giovanni Battista Montini, became a priest in 1920 and in 1924 began work for the Vatican Secretariat of State. In 1954, he was named the archbishop of Milan and was selected to be a cardinal in 1958 by John XXIII.

He was elected pope in June of 1963 and continued the work of his predecessor during the Second Vatican Council in which 16 documents were promulgated.

Paul VI was also influential with his written encyclicals, visits, and relations with other countries. He increased the number of cardinals in the Church, giving many countries their first. Pope Paul VI died on August 6, 1978.

He is the patron of the Archdiocese of Milan.

St. Pope Paul VI, pray for us!

Today we celebrate the Memorial of Mary, Mother of the Church 🌹
At the foot of the Cross, Jesus gave Mary to all of us, not just as His mother, but as our mother. From that moment on, she has never stopped caring for the Church, walking with us, praying for us, and leading us closer to her Son.

Mary was there at the beginning, praying with the apostles, waiting for the Holy Spirit, helping form the very first Christian community. And she’s still with us now, guiding us with the same quiet strength and trust in God.
Whatever you’re carrying today, you don’t carry it alone. You have a mother who sees you, loves you, and gently points you to Jesus.

Mary, Mother of the Church, pray for us 🤍

Today we celebrate the coming of the Holy Spirit, the moment the Church was born.
The same Spirit that gave the apostles courage, boldness, and faith is given to us, too. We are not meant to keep our faith to ourselves… we are sent to live it, share it, and let it transform the world.
Come, Holy Spirit 🙏

The Holy Spirit is our helper, “the Spirit of truth.” From the Gospel of John, “He will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you” (14:26).

The Holy Spirit is known as the Paraclete, which means “counselor” or “advocate.” In simple terms, the Holy Spirit is our helper and guide throughout our lives.

The Holy Spirit empowers us to live life centered on God’s love for us.
