June is LGBTQIA+ Pride month! Thanks be to God for a world full of people who are perfectly and awesomely made. This month may we honor, celebrate, and recognize the impact that LGBTQIA+ individuals have had on history locally, nationally, and internationally - often times at a great cost.

To kick it off, we’re sharing an excerpt from the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) 223rd General Assembly (2018) item, “On Celebrating the Gifts of People of Diverse Sexual Orientations and Gender Identities in the Life of the Church."

We're also already looking forward to Golden Valley Pride Festival on Saturday, June 13th! We are so excited to support and host a booth again this year. Come by and see us!

In observance of Memorial Day, we will be closed on Monday, May 25th. We honor and remember those who have served and sacrificed for our country. Valley staff will be back in the office on Tuesday, May 26th.

It's a big Sunday coming up in the Valley! This Sunday, May 24, is Pentecost Sunday. On the Day of Pentecost, we celebrate the gift of the Holy Spirit descending in a mighty rush of wind and flame to inspire the church’s proclamation of Christ’s rising and to empower its mission and ministry to the world. Pentecost marks the end of the Easter season.

At Valley, we wear red to celebrate Pentecost! We hope you can join us. See you in church!

Valley celebrated a special birthday this week!! Valley Community Presbyterian Church was officially organized as a congregation on May 20, 1951. We are excited to honor the history of this place and look ahead to the next 75 years and beyond We'd love it if your join us for this exciting occasion!

Mark your calendar now and join us for worship with music starting at 9:15 am, followed by an all-church picnic hosted by the Fellowship Committee! There will be bounce houses, face-painting, a DJ, delicious food, and more fun surprises. See you there!

Don't forget to wear red this Sunday as we celebrate Pentecost! In the PC(USA) on the Day of Pentecost, we recognize the gift of the Holy Spirit descending in a mighty rush of wind and flame to inspire the church’s proclamation of Christ’s rising and to empower its mission and ministry to the world. (See Acts 2:1-13; see also Joel 2:28-32.) It is a day to celebrate the renewal of the relationship between God and the community of faith.

This Mission Monday is dedicated to the Presbytery of the Twin Cities Area!

The PTCA held its first meeting in January of 1977 at Oak Grove Presbyterian Church. Ever since, PTCA staff and volunteer leaders have worked hard to support congregations, equip leaders, and pursue a just and anti-racist future.
