🙏 A Labor Day Prayer: Honoring Every Worker 🛠️

Heavenly Father, on this Labor Day, we pause to thank You for the gift of work and for the diverse callings You have placed on our lives. We praise You for every worker in our community, from fields to offices, classrooms, hospitals, and homes.

We pray that every individual recognizes the profound dignity of their labor. Whether their tasks are seen by millions or done in quiet solitude, may their work glorify You in both big and small ways. Remind them that every act of service, craftsmanship, and care matters deeply in Your eyes.

Lord, we ask that You grant our workers a true respite from their everyday labors. This weekend, give them the opportunity to step away from their stress, enjoy the beauty of Your creation, and cherish meaningful time with their families and friends.

As they rest, fill their hearts with peace and renew their energy. Send them back to their workplaces with a refreshed spirit, a clear purpose, and a burning desire to love and serve others through their daily tasks. In Your holy name, we pray. Amen.

✏️ Back-to-School Prayer 🍎

Heavenly Father, as a new school year begins, we lift up all of our students and teachers to You. We pray for protection, wisdom, and joy in every classroom, hallway, and campus.

Bless our students with curiosity, resilience, and a deep sense of purpose. Guard their hearts and minds, and help them grow not only in knowledge but in kindness.

Bless our educators and school staff with patience, strength, and renewed energy. Give them the wisdom to guide their students and the peace of mind to handle every challenge that comes their way.

Lord, we pray that the vibrant energy, passion, and life filling our schools will overflow into our entire community. May their excitement impact us all, inspiring us to support one another and filling our neighborhoods, homes, and church with Your unconditional love.

We place this school year into Your hands, trusting in Your goodness.

Amen.

Our summer schedule is wrapping up, and we are moving into an exciting new program year! Make sure to save the new times.

Community Food Pantry Update 🌾

Last Thursday alone, our food pantry served 22 local families! The need in our community remains high, and your ongoing generosity makes a massive difference.

We are currently running low on a few essentials. If you are able to donate, our top needs right now are:
- Pasta sauce (cans preferred)
- Toilet paper
- Plastic grocery bags (for reuse)

Thank you so much to our incredible congregation for your continuous support and faithful hearts!

Donation bins are located inside the north church entrance.

🌭 What’s better than a community coming together for a great cause? A community coming together while TJ Hopkins rocks a giant hot dog costume!

A massive, heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who helped make our Glyndon Days food stand and bake sale such an incredible success. Thanks to your amazing support and sweet tooths, we raised a fantastic $1,582! Our awesome youth raised another $253 selling pop and popcorn at UC Hope Bingo Night! 🍿🥤

None of these events could happen without your time, donations, and hard work. We appreciate every single one of you.

In today’s Gospel reading, we witness a beautiful and surprising moment. Jesus meets a Canaanite woman, an outsider by the cultural standards of the day. Yet, her persistent, bold trust breaks through every barrier.

This story reminds us that Christ's mercy is never locked behind human gatekeeping or narrow borders. God’s love stretches out to embrace the weary, the persistent, and the outsider. There is no place where His grace cannot reach, and no person outside the scope of His compassionate heart.

Today, bring your whole self to Jesus - your hopes, your heavy burdens, and your persistent prayers. You are heard, you are welcomed, and you are deeply loved by a Savior whose grace is wide enough for the whole world.
