For most of the students of the San Carlos Apache Tribe, school dismissed for the summer this past week. BUT...the 2026-2027 School Year will begin before July ends! Please spread the word about this tremendous project. Please also pray for the staff and students of San Carlos, even now as the resources provided by the schools have ended for the summer.
*We'll need sturdy backpacks to withstand the tasks for an entire school year, as well as 50+ clear ones for the oldest students. Thank you!

Today, we returned to our annual Summer in the Psalms series, picking up in Psalm 101. This psalm of David points us to the coming of King Jesus. Pastor Brian begins by providing an overview of the five books of the Psalms before exploring how Psalm 101 directs our attention to Christ, His character, His commands, and how Christians are called to live as citizens of His Kingdom.

Today’s sermon focused on the book of Philemon, a letter that was likely delivered at the same time as Colossians. Though it was written to a master concerning a slave who had fled from his service and likely stolen from him, this book is still of great value to us today.

Pastor Brian explains how Roman slavery was very different from American slavery, while also showing how this letter teaches us about reconciliation and gives us a picture of the gospel. Just as Onesimus returned to Philemon no longer merely as a slave, but as a brother, so we in Christ are reconciled to the Father no longer as condemned sinners, but as sons and daughters of God.

In this sermon on the book of Philemon titled No Longer a Slave, Pastor Brian Morris walks through Paul’s powerful appeal for reconciliation between Philemon...

This past Sunday, Pastor Brian finished our series through the book of Colossians with a sermon from Colossians 4:7–18 on Paul’s final greetings to the church in Colossae.

At first glance, passages like this can feel a bit like reading a genealogy or someone else’s mail. Yet within these closing comments, we find powerful examples of Christian legacy through the lives of Onesimus, Mark, Epaphras, Demas, and others who faithfully served Christ and His church.

This text reminds us that obscurity is not the mark of unfaithfulness. Though some of these believers are only briefly mentioned in Scripture, their lives still encourage the church today and ultimately point us to Jesus Christ.

In Colossians 4:7–18, we read Paul’s closing comments to the church in Colossae. At first glance, this section may seem like little more than a list of names...
