What a week as kids raced ahead in faith at VBS: Full Throttle - The Journey to Victory Lane! From worship to games to Bible learning, every moment was fueled with joy, energy and truth.

To our amazing volunteers: you were the ultimate pit crew - refueling, repairing, cheering and helping every child stay on course toward Jesus.

The checkered flag has waved, but we're grateful for every child, every family and every volunteer who made this journey to Victory Lane one we'll never forget!

Here are just a few snapshots from an unforgettable week!

What can motivate us to press forward in the face of adversity, fear, and discouragement?

Join us this Sunday as Pastor David Anderson continues our journey through Acts, exploring the example of Paul and the hope that sustained him through trials, uncertainty, and opposition.

“In Acts 20, Paul says that everywhere He went, the Holy Spirit told him that imprisonment and afflictions awaited him. This is a tough assignment - how does Paul endure it? This week we’ll see that what makes his life precious to him that he gets to proclaim hope to all the nations… the gospel of the grace of God. God has entrusted each and everyone of us like He did Paul to make disciples of all the nations. With this commissioning, we will be tested. Sometimes we will fail the test and will need to brush ourselves off and take the test again. None of us will be perfect, but God is inviting us into something pretty special if we can trust Him with us. My prayer is that what makes our lives precious is also the humility, tears and trials of proclaiming the gospel of grace to the nations.”— Pastor David Anderson

We’d love to welcome you this Sunday! We’ll also enjoy a special VBS celebration as our kids share some of the songs they learned throughout the week. Come worship with us and celebrate what God has done in the lives of our children (and volunteers)!

🏁 The starting flag has dropped!

Today begins Full Throttle: The Journey to Victory Lane, and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome children and families to campus this week. From the decorations to the T-shirts to the incredible team of volunteers, so much preparation has gone into creating a fun, meaningful, and Christ-centered experience.

As we think about , we’re reminded that outreach begins right where God has placed us. Vacation Bible School is one of the ways we have the privilege of sharing the hope of Jesus with children and families in our own community.

Would you join us in praying this week?

• Pray for every child who attends.

• Pray for hearts to be open to God's truth.

• Pray for safety, joy, and meaningful connections.

• Pray for our incredible volunteers as they serve and lead.

Thank you for partnering with us in prayer. We are expectant for all God will do this week! 🏎️🏁

Where are you on this adventure of the Christian life?

Are you ascending and feeling out of breath, a bit discouraged?

Are you feeling a bit exposed?

Are you descending and your legs are feeling better because you are going downhill?

Is your backpack feeling really heavy and you need some brothers or sisters to help you carry it to the first campsite?

Are you on a ledge and it feels like it can’t get any more scary than it is right now?

Do you know why you are on the trail and what your destination is?

Do you know who is with you the whole time?

He isn’t far ahead of you, saying, "Why can’t you hurry up?" He isn’t behind you saying, “Why are you so fat and out of shape?” He is right next to you and He is offering to carry your backpack for stretches and He is whispering, “You're doing it …” - Pastor David Anderson

Join us on Sunday as we look at Acts 20, and find encouragement from the story of how the Lord walked with Paul through all kinds of ups and downs.

In the middle of a busy week, take a few moments to slow down and fix your eyes on Jesus.

This week’s worship playlist is inspired by the reminder that even when the night feels dark, we are not forsaken - our Shepherd is with us and faithfully leads us every step of the way.

Whether you’re driving, working, walking, or spending time in prayer, we invite you to listen and worship along. The Spotify playlist link is in the comments below.

A word from our Children’s Pastor, Jessica Lee, following the Faith at Play Conference at Azusa Pacific University:

One of the beautiful reminders from the weekend was this: children are not just the future of the Church - they are an important part of the Church right now.

As a church family, we want every child to be seen, known, welcomed, and rooted in Christ while feeling connected to the larger body of believers and the family of God.

We’re thankful for opportunities to keep learning and growing in how we disciple and care for the next generation through CODkids.
