Our JH Group had a STELLAR weekend up at 🙌🏔️❄️
Lots of laughs and fun and some really sweet times with Jesus.
Can’t wait for next year!!! ❄️🏔️

CHILI FEED & CAROLING is coming up! 🎄🌶🎼🎄

We meet at the Worship Center at 6:00pm to eat some yummy chili and then we’ll all head out (leaders will drive students in various cars) to go sing some Christmas Carols to some beloved COD’ers who aren’t able to make it up to the hillside these days. We’ll be back at COD by 8:45pm for pickup at the Worship Center.
This is a great event to love on some incredible people during the Christmas season!⛄️
The whole church is invited to come! Our students will go with the youth leaders caroling but if any families want to get together and carol to a couple houses, we have plenty of people for you to visit!

Annual TURKEY BOWL is this Saturday!!! 💪🦃🏈💪
Everyone 6th grade and up is invited to come out to Sandburg Middle School this Saturday at 9am for a friendly but still competitive game of Flag Football!
We’ll play football for a couple hours and then head to In-N-Out in Azusa for lunch around 11.
(Students are responsible for coordinating their own transportation.)

WHO’S READY TO PARTAAAY!! 🥳🎃👻 Next Tuesday night (11/1) we will be having Halloween parties instead of our normal youth group!
See pic above for different times and locations for each group’s party!
Wear an epic (and appropriate) costume, bring $5 cash, and invite your friends!!! You’re not gonna want to miss it! 🎃👻

New series starts tonight!
The goal of this 4-week series is to equip students to not be afraid to share their faith and talk about Jesus with people that need to hear about Him. Our first lesson will focus on the heart behind the series and one practical tool to help you in those scary conversations about Jesus.

Our students had the enormous privilege of hearing from Bishop Silas Kezakubi at Youth Group last night. Bishop Silas oversees the AICT (Africa Inland Church) churches in the Tabora region of Tanzania and is a good friend and partner to COD missionaries Andy & Maragaret Andersen and Colin & Becca McDougall.
He shared about his own story of coming to faith in Christ despite the challenges of growing up in a non-Christian household in a primarily muslim area. He also gave us a lot of insight into the life and history of the Nyamwezi people - the Unreached people group COD has committed to pray for. It was so encouraging to hear what God is doing in that region and how He is answering the prayers for the Nyamwezi to come to know Him.

Our youth may never get this kind of opportunity again - thank you Bishop Silas for coming to share with our students! 🙏

We had so much fun at our first Christmas Cup last year, we decided to bring the Soccer fun to the summer time! This Saturday is our Summer Cup! Come play a friendly game of soccer with us at Louie Pompei Park this Saturday at 9am! We’ll play for a couple of hours and then meet at Raising Cane’s Glendora to eat lunch together!
Everyone 6th Grade and above is invited to come play (that means you too parents!! 😃)

*Students are required to coordinate their own rides to the game, to lunch, and home afterwards!

**Everyone participating plays at their own risk - be safe out there! 😁

This HUGE crew drove all the way to Lake Tahoe last week to dive into community and deepen their faith. It was an incredible week filled with all kinds of car problems, but even more experiences with our Savior, Jesus Christ. We tubed, jumped off cliffs, played 9-square, hung out on the beach, worshipped our Creator, and so many other things.
Through it all, our group was challenged to put “FIRST THINGS FIRST” and see how Jesus should be our main priority, aim, desire, and joy.

Tahoe is breathtaking. This group is amazing. Jesus is the best.
