We had such a lovely Bible study this week led by Qasha Andrew Aziz. The topic was “Discerning the will of God”. Throughout the study Qasha Andrew helped guide us through the questions below to think about. At the end of the night, we all gathered together for fellowship at Canes.

To recap- this study taught us why we should trust God’s intentions and guidance, as well as working towards in understanding His teachings ourselves. It is necessary to understand God’s will because it is the best thing for us. God reveals His will though scriptures, the church, and circumstances.

Discussion questions:
1. How do we know God’s will?
2. Why does it matter?
3. Why should scripture be our first source of guidance rather than our own emotions?
4. Why can spiritual guidance protect us from poor decisions?

Thank you so much to Qasha Andrew! It was so amazing to see you all! Can’t wait for study next week💛

This past weekend we wrapped up our third annual Vacation Bible School at Mar Patros Cathedral. We had such an amazing and fun time teaching the kids more about their faith. This years theme was “Anchored In Christ”. The kids enjoyed three days of Bible studies and themed lessons that focus more on this topic. It is so amazing to see their excitement every year and in every session when discussing Christ. We are so thankful that we have the opportunity to put this on for the children of our church again and are very excited to bring it back next year. Thank you to our amazing Youth volunteers for their time in the preplanning and during VBS. While not all pictured, your actions do not go unnoticed and we are so thankful to have you with us. God bless you all and we look forward to another amazing year at VBS next year.💛💛

Last night we had an amazing Bible study led by Subdeacon Joseph Jabri with the topic of “Forgiveness”. Below is the reading and discussion questions we had as a group. At the end of the night we had a fun fellowship at in n out together💛

Sections to read:
- Psalm 103:8-12
- Genesis 50:8-12
- Matthew 18:21-35

Questions to answer, and discuss:
- Is forgiveness a feeling, decision, or an action? Explain.

- We see Joseph forgive, and promise to provide for them. What is the difference between forgiving someone and restoring a relationship with someone?

- What does it mean to forgive as you have been forgiven?

- What is a step this week that you can take to forgive that person?
