On September 16 our Presbyterian Women will begin a new study where we will explore and discuss seven aspects of our faith. Our first lesson is about God. How do you see God? When you think of God, what comes to mind first?
This study occurs once a month. We will have a new topic for discussion for each meeting.
This group is open to women of any age, any faith tradition, or no background in faith at all. We would love for you to join us at 5:30 on September 16.

Ezekiel and his modern-day counterpart, Archbishop Oscar Romero - come hear about what connects them.
Sunday at 11 a.m. in person or on Facebook Live.

Amen.

Amen.

As we approach Labor Day weekend, we are reminded of the Social Creed for the 21st Century, which calls us to "offer a vision of a society that shares more and consumes less, seeks compassion over suspicion and equality over domination, and finds security in joined hands rather than in massed arms.”

“A Social Creed for the 21st Century” lifts up Jesus’ words in John 10:10, that he came so that we might have abundant life. It was adopted by the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) and the National Council of Churches of Christ in the USA in 2008. You can read more about the Social Creed here: https://hubs.ly/Q04vZDGq0

Please join us in praying for people who have lost homes to wildfires.

PDA is starting a new series: at the beginning of each week, we will share a new prayer as we recognize the long-term impacts of natural and human-caused disasters. We invite you to share your specific prayer concerns in the comments, if you feel called, so we may pray together as a community. This week, we lift up those who have lost their homes to wildfires.
Let us pray,
Loving God, we pray that your presence may be near to those who have lost their homes and much of what filled them due to wildfires. Comfort them in their grief and provide for their daily needs. Lead them gently toward a place to settle again. Amen.

PRAYER OF PRAISE AND ADORATION:
All: Holy Spirit, our lives are filled with the sound of your voice. Our ancestors heard your call in wind, in fire, in dreams and while working.
