Our high school students just finished up their time at Camp Regen in Glorieta, NM. They joined with churches nationwide to hear expository teaching and Christ-centered music, while also having fun participating in team games and various outdoor activities. Your phone can finish your sentence. Your car can drive you home. A machine can write a letter in your voice.

So let me ask you: do you still know what you are?

This Sunday we begin a new summer series called Alive in an Age of AI. The question underneath every message is this: How do we live as created beings in an age of machines?

Here's where we're headed:
Given, Not God - We'll start at the beginning. God made us makers, so the technology we make is ours to steward and not a power to rival Him.

Fathered, Not Fabricated - Our identity is not in what we produce or how we perform. We're not products to be engineered but people made in God's image.

Led, Not Programmed - True wisdom is not found in human or artificial systems, but in trusting the Lord who directs our paths.

Created, Not Coded - God transforms His people through worship, discipleship, and community, and not conformity to the world.

Sent, Not Silent - Under Christ's authority, we're sent to make disciples and bring his unchanging gospel into a changing world.

Restored, Not Replaced - Our hope is not in what humanity can build, but in what God will restore when He makes all things new.

This series is not about being for or against any particular technology. It's about knowing who we are, who God is, and how to live Christianly in a world that keeps changing.

I encourage you to invite your neighbors or bring someone with you. These are the kinds of questions people around us are asking, even if they're not yet asking them of God.

VBS 2026 - Thank you to all our volunteers who served all week turning STBC into Emerald Crossing! Our Irish adventure focused on the Lord being our Good Shepherd as we studied and walked through Psalm 23 together.
