We hope everyone had an amazing Chili Cook-off Sunday! FVKids had a great morning finishing out our October Series, FEAR NOT! Today we learned how to be brave with the story of Esther in Esther 3:1-4:17; 7:3-7.
The kids got to learn that courage means standing up for what is right, even if it costs you something! Just like Esther knew that she could die by going to the king to plead for her people, we need to be willing to stand up for what’s right even if it means we could lose friends or make us seem “strange” and “different”! The kids also learned that prayer can help our courage grow! Esther and her people fasted and prayed before she went to the king, and we can go to God before we face something scary too! We also talked about how our courage can change the lives of others!
Keep the conversation going this week with some ✨FAMILY CONNECTION✨ Read through Esther 4 as a family. Talk about what it means to be born “for such a time as this” and ask each family member to identify one need they see around them in the world today.
Choose a family mission to complete this week that would point others to Jesus. (Ideas: Invite someone over for dinner who seems lonely; prepare a meal and a card for someone who needs support; stand up for someone being excluded; help a neighbor) Ask, “Who might God be giving our family an opportunity to help?”
We can’t wait to see everyone next week to start a brand new kids series!

Happy Sunday FV families! Our FVKids had a wonderful morning continuing our October series, FEAR NOT! This morning we learned that GOD IS BIGGER with the story of David and Goliath in 1 Samuel 17:12-51! The kids learned that fear grows when we focus on the size of the problem but faith grows when we focus on Gods faithfulness! When the Israelite army saw Goliath, they ran away in fear because they were focused on his size, but David knew he could defeat Goliath with God on his side because he remembered how God had rescued him from the claws of the lion and the bear before! The kids also learned that courage is found in God’s character, not our own strength!
Keep the conversation going this week with some ✨FAMILY CONNECTION✨ Read through 1 Samuel 17:12-51 as a family. Talk about how our courage is found in God’s character instead of our own strength!
As a family, discuss how remembering God’s faithfulness can help you be courageous. Then, remember all the things God has done for you and make a list together! Put the list somewhere everyone will see it regularly and be reminded of how good God is!
We can’t wait to see everyone next week for our another lesson about courage!

It was a rainy morning outside but all sunshine and smiles back in FVKids! 😊☀️
This morning our kids continued their October series, FEAR NOT, by reading through the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego in Daniel 3. The kids learned that it takes courage to go against the crowd and stand up for your beliefs, but even when we feel fear, we can still choose to act courageously do what’s right! The kids also learned that just like Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego knew God could save them, but chose to say “even if He doesn’t” and praise Him no matter what happened, we don’t have to fear the unknown, we can trust God! Then the kids heard how our courage to stand up for our beliefs can point others to Jesus!
Keep the conversation going this week with some ✨FAMILY CONNECTION ✨ Read Daniel chapter 3 as a family. Talk through how difficult it can be to go against the crowd and stand strong for your beliefs and give your kids some ideas that will help them stand strong for Jesus even if no one else is.
Have each family member pick 1 act of faith to do this week (share the gospel with someone, pray over someone, stand up for someone else, etc). Share how it went!
We can’t wait to see everyone next week as we continue to learn about courage!
