This past Sunday, we explored what it means to remain unshaken in an unstable world. From Colossians 1:21-23, we were reminded that those who have been reconciled by Christ are called to remain grounded, faithful, and unmoved — no matter what life throws at them.
Before Christ, we were alienated from God, enemies in our minds and actions. But through the cross, He reconciled us to Himself — not because of anything we did, but because of everything He did. As Romans 5:10 reminds us, even while we were enemies, God acted to restore what sin had broken.
Because of that reconciliation, we can stand firm. We can be stable and steadfast. And when fear and darkness come knocking, we can declare with confidence that all the power of fear and darkness must go — in the mighty name of Jesus.
