Praisin' in the Park

Praisin' in the Park Praisin' in the Park is a community wide Bible School held every July in Felts Park in Galax.

Praisin in the Park is a joint effort of area churches to reach kids with the love of Jesus.

It is with heavy hearts that we have made the difficult decision to cancel tonight’s final night of Praisin in the Park due to the weather.

We are so disappointed because we were looking forward to one more evening of worship, fun, and sharing the love of Jesus with our community. While we are sad that we won’t be able to gather tonight, the safety of our volunteers, families, and children has to come first.

Thank you to every volunteer, church, donor, and family who helped make this week so special. We are incredibly thankful for the lives that were touched and for all that God did throughout Praisin in the Park. We will continue to celebrate the many blessings from this week, including the children who heard the Gospel and those who made decisions to follow Jesus.

We are already looking forward to next year and hope you will join us as we celebrate the 20th Anniversary of Praisin in the Park! We can’t wait to see what God has in store.

What an amazing evening we had at Praisin in the Park!

Night two, we learned that reading the Bible helps our roots grow deep and strong, giving us the truth we need to stand firm.

Here is our 5-6th grade group going over the memory verse. ❤️

Dinner & Treat Menu👇

Each night we’ll have a delicious meal and fun treats for all the kids:
• Sunday: Hot dogs & cotton candy
• Monday: Bird Dogs (Food City chicken tenders in a hotdog bun), popcorn, and cookies
• Tuesday: Walking tacos & cookies
• Wednesday: Pizza & snow cones

📢WATER NIGHT - Wednesday!
We’re ending the week with a splash! Be ready for:
• Water Kickball
• A visit from the Fire Truck

In just 21 days, this park will be filled with kids, volunteers, worship, laughter, and lives being changed as we gather for Praisin in the Park 2026!

This year’s theme is 🌱 Rooted in Christ 🌱 When our lives are rooted in Jesus, we grow strong in our faith.

Night 1: Jesus is the Vine
We’ll discover that just as branches must stay connected to the vine to live and grow, we must stay connected to Jesus every day.

Night 2: Growing in God’s Word
We’ll learn that reading the Bible helps our roots grow deep and strong, giving us the truth we need to stand firm.

Night 3: The Power of Prayer(The Lord’s Prayer)
Just as plants need water to thrive, our hearts need prayer. We’ll learn that prayer keeps us close to God and helps us grow.

Night 4: The Fruit of the Spirit
When we stay connected to Jesus, spend time in God’s Word, and talk with Him through prayer, the Holy Spirit grows beautiful fruit in our lives—love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

We can’t wait to see what God is going to do in the lives of every child and volunteer this year. Please begin praying now that hearts will be open, lives will be changed, and many children will become deeply Rooted in Christ. 💚
