READ Proverbs 14-15 and chapter 14 of Romans.
How can a fool be made wise? A fool goes his own way and is correct by his own judgment. Many times in Proverbs, Judges, the Prophets and into the New Testament scripture points out that failed people do, or did, what was right in their own eyes.
Looking back and recognizing my foolish behavior doesn't make me wise. Just like confessing past sin cannot make me any less a sinner. Admitting sin, turning away from rebellion against God's Word and accepting God's salvation through the sacrifice of Jesus has to become a new way of living, and is a wise thing to do. -- To those whom God has called Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength. (1st Corinthians 1:24&25 NIV)
We are condemned by our past. We are only free in the present to change behavior -- For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and receives human approval. vv. 17&18 NIV.

PRAY - LORD I am convinced by the Proverbs of Solomon that I have been more foolish than wise. I have gone my own way and can blame no one else for my folly. I am helpless to save myself but Your Word can be a light to my path. I praise You; Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and gratefully accept Your Love, Grace and Mercy. Amen.

READ Proverbs 11-13, Psalm 8 and chapter 13 from Paul's letter to the Christians in Rome.
-- Proverbs -- 11:9 With their mouths the godless destroy their neighbors, but through knowledge the righteous escape.
11:17 Those who are kind benefit themselves, but the cruel bring ruin on themselves.
12: 2 Good people obtain favor from the Lord, but he condemns those who devise wicked schemes.
12: 20 Deceit is in the hearts of those who plot evil, but those who promote peace have joy.
13: 14 The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life, turning a person from the snares of death.
13: 23 A poor person's farm may produce much food, but injustice sweeps it all away.

Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory in the heavens. Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?

People should not delay accepting the Wisdom of God's Word. Our country would be much different, and better off, if the past three or four generations had learned Psalm and Proverbs in public schools: "This is all the more urgent, for you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed," Romans 13:11 NLT.

PRAY - Lord thank You for influencing our founding fathers* through a Christian education. Holy Spirit indwell the hearts of the country's leaders. In the Name of Jesus . Amen.

READ Proverbs 8-10, Psalm 144 and chapter 12 from Romans.
How good can a person be without knowing Jesus?
* David was a man after God's own heart. He was mentioned in the Hebrew Hall of Faith, Hebrews 11.
* Solomon was the wisest person of his time. His knowledge, wealth and wisdom disturbed his tranquility; "Everything is meaningless, completely meaningless", Ecclesiastes 1:2 NLT. But he concluded, Ecclesiastes 12:13&14, "Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil".
As Pharisee, a Jew's Jew, Saul (later to be Paul) studied the Law, the Psalms and the Prophets. He knew all that David and Solomon wrote. He was the best man religion could produce. But he hated his fellow human and killed followers of the "Way". The key that unlocked the ancient truths was he met Jesus. He pleads with us, "In view of God’s mercy, offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s Will is—his good, pleasing and perfect Will, (Romans 12:1&2 NIV).

READ Proverbs 6&7, Psalm 7 and chapter 11 of Romans.
Never be satisfied with the status quo, (that is just being Okay). Beyond all we know there is God's plan. When Elijah thought he was the last faithful prophet of Israel, God revealed He had 7000 others who never bowed to Baal.
Believers are a people with a glorious future. To accept our present condition is failure. We should grow more like Christ and closer to what God has planned for us. As we grow we must be free from worldly entanglements and corrupt evil influences (Proverbs 6 and 7).
The world divides time into past present or future. God is beyond time. His Kingdom is a realm where time will be no more, 🎶When the trumpet of the Lord shall sound!🎵
The future celebration when a remnant of the people of Israel are crafted back into the true root is beyond imagination. We, Christians/ Gentiles, should not be surprised when God's Will is done, on earth as it is in heaven: "If the Jews will believe in God again, he will accept them back. He is able to put them back where they were... those Jews are like a branch that grew from the good tree. So surely they can be joined to their own tree again (Rom. 11:23&24 ERV).

PRAY - LORD Thank You for knowing our potential. You know the plans You have for us, the church. Give us the confidence to believe that we are more and better than what the world sees. Allow us to life free and as if we are saved from the entanglement of worldly sin, to walk in the newness of true (eternal) life in Your Kingdom.
