READ Proverbs 11-13, Psalm 8 and chapter 13 from Paul's letter to the Christians in Rome.
-- Proverbs -- 11:9 With their mouths the godless destroy their neighbors, but through knowledge the righteous escape.
11:17 Those who are kind benefit themselves, but the cruel bring ruin on themselves.
12: 2 Good people obtain favor from the Lord, but he condemns those who devise wicked schemes.
12: 20 Deceit is in the hearts of those who plot evil, but those who promote peace have joy.
13: 14 The teaching of the wise is a fountain of life, turning a person from the snares of death.
13: 23 A poor person's farm may produce much food, but injustice sweeps it all away.

Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!
You have set your glory in the heavens. Through the praise of children and infants you have established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place, what is mankind that you are mindful of them, human beings that you care for them?
People should not delay accepting the Wisdom of God's Word. Our country would be much different, and better off, if the past three or four generations had learned Psalm and Proverbs in public schools: "This is all the more urgent, for you know how late it is; time is running out. Wake up, for our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed," Romans 13:11 NLT.
PRAY - Lord thank You for influencing our founding fathers* through a Christian education. Holy Spirit indwell the hearts of the country's leaders. In the Name of Jesus . Amen.
Note *They declared in 1776: When in the Course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the Laws of Nature and of Nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.
We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.
Whenever a Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.-
