Welcome Mathew Maglasang!

A native Houstonian, Mathew Maglasang has served in music ministry within the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston since 2013. Born and raised in Alief, his roots in Catholic music ministry began in 1995 as a member of the Angel Choir at Notre Dame Catholic Church, where he also received all his sacraments. He is forever grateful for Mom, Dad, and Ate (older sister), and is married to his amazing wife, Celine, with whom he shares life alongside their beloved German Shepherd, Odin. Prior to joining St. Faustina, Mathew served for eight years as Director of Music at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Sugar Land and five years as Director of Music at Epiphany of the Lord in Katy. He feels incredibly blessed and excited to serve God’s people through music ministry at St. Faustina.

With joyful hearts and thanksgiving to God, we announce the ordination of Deacons James Stansinski Schńitzler, Eric Mitchell Schumann, Joshua Daniel Svajda, and Thomas Tuan Vu to the Sacred Order of the Priesthood on Saturday, June 6.

Mass will be celebrated by Most Reverend Joe S. Vásquez, Archbishop of Galveston-Houston, at 10 a.m. at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 1111 St. Joseph Parkway, Houston, TX 77002.
