An incredible weekend in Arizona where Shepherd's Canyon Retreat invited Jennie Williamson to perform on Saturday. Wished we would have taken 100 more pictures to capture the amazing employees and volunteers that are now friends. We loved our time there!

We look forward to seeing how our ministry at Saxon Lutheran Memorial, through the Fields of Zephaniah, will walk alongside Shepherd’s Canyon Retreat. These two distinct yet complementary ministries will encourage and bless one another as God leads.

The field looks simple, but it’s full. Full of God’s promises.

“The Lord your God is with you… He will quiet you with His love… He will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17

And somehow, in the middle of real life, Paul could say, “Rejoice in the Lord always.” Not because everything was easy, but because God was near.

That’s why we’re preparing this place. Because people are carrying a lot, and joy can feel far away. Peace can feel even farther.

So we’re making space for both. Space to be still, space to breathe, space to remember that the Lord is near.

And when He is near, peace follows, hope rises, and joy becomes possible again.

They didn’t just show up.
They brought their tools.
And they brought their time.

Tools mean intention.
Time means sacrifice.

Anyone can say they support something. Not everyone loads up equipment, clears their schedule, and drives in ready to work.

These LERT volunteers came prepared. Prepared to fix. Prepared to restore. Prepared to strengthen what’s already here so it can serve what’s coming next.

And what stands out most isn’t noise, it’s steadiness.

They didn’t come empty-handed.
They didn’t come empty-hearted.

They came ready.

Time is the one thing none of us gets more of. When someone gives it freely, it says something. It says, “This matters.” It says, “I believe in what you’re building.” It says, “I’m willing to invest, not just admire.”

Bringing tools is practical.

Bringing time is personal.

That combination builds momentum.

Saxon moves forward because people like this decide it’s worth their effort. Worth their energy. Worth their Wednesday. Worth another return trip.

No spotlight needed.

Just tools.
Just time.
Just commitment.

And that kind of dedication prepares the future better than any speech ever could.
