CLW takes place during the 11:00am Mass September thru May. The program is offered for children 3 years old thru 5th grade. Father will invite the children forward then as a group they are dismissed for CLW. PreK, K, and 1st grade children will gather in the Bride's Room; 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade children will gather in the Family Room. Both groups will hear the readings from the children's lectionary, work on an activity in a children's bulletin to relate the homily to their life and conclude in prayer. The children return to Mass at the time of the children's collection. Vacation Bible School (VBS)

This week long adventure is filled with songs, games, crafts, skits, and yummy snacks that bring our faith to children in an exciting way. Operation Christmas Child Begins This Weekend!

While this weekend is Halloween/All Saints Day, our Padre Pio Parish Family is already thinking about Christmas!
Saturday we kick off our 7th Year of packing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child. When we began this mission in 2020, we packed 20 shoeboxes. Last year our Parish Family packed 428 shoeboxes! This year our goal is 500 shoeboxes!
Empty shoeboxes will be available at all of the parishes this weekend. Take as many shoeboxes that you would like to pack, fill them using instructions in the shoebox or from today’s bulletin insert, and bring them back to your parish. You can also bring them to any Mass on November 14th or 15th, place them on the altar and our priests will bless them.
If you have any questions, contact Lori Kisby. Thanks for helping to share the gospel to children around the world!

Volunteers Need!

Next Saturday, October 24th, ALL of our Padre Pio Parish family Confirmation youth will be participating in a retreat put on by One Heart, One Fire.
In order to make this a successful retreat, we need adult AND college/high school age volunteers. As a volunteer, you will help guide small group discussions which will be guided by One Heart One Fire. The best part of being a volunteer is you will also get to experience the retreat! Previous volunteers, both adult and high school/college aged, have commented that they received as much from the retreat as the confirmation candidates!
To volunteer for this awesome retreat, contact Lori Kisby at [email protected] or call 402-721-6611 ext. 208.
