How did one man's bold protest reshape world history? đź“śđź’Ą

In 1517, Martin Luther posted his 95 Theses to the church door in Wittenberg, challenging corrupt practices like the sale of indulgences. His core belief—that faith and scripture should be accessible to everyone, not just the elite—ignited the Protestant Reformation, transforming Christianity, accelerating literacy, and changing Western society forever.

Don't forget to wear RED to worship in honor of Reformation Sunday!

Last Sunday, FLC was presented the Statue of Good Samaritan for 20 Years of Service!

First Lutheran Church has faithfully served as a Drop-Off Location in our community for Operation Christmas Child for 20 Years! Each shoebox collected during the past two decades has provided an opportunity to share God’s love and the Good News of Jesus Christ with a boy or girl in need around the world.

Through our partnership, Samaritan’s Purse has blessed more than 244 million children with a gift-filled shoebox and over 52 million of these children have enrolled in their follow-up discipleship program, The Greatest Journey. This 12-lesson course, taught by trained local volunteers, help these children know how to follow Jesus Christ daily and share their faith!

Help us continue to grow each and every year by building a box or more for children across the globe! Click the link below to build boxes online or visit FLC to pick up information and a box to shop in person!

OCC Kick-Off is THIS SUNDAY!

Check out our table as you leave worship. We look forward to answering any questions and helping you get started! Before the kids receive their gift box, they get to HEAR about the LOVE of JESUS and they get to SEE His love through YOU! Watch for us the next couple of weeks at the end of fellowship hall to share some things to pack and help anyway we can!

Bring full boxes back to FLC on November 15 for the OCC Box Blessing! Thank you for your giving hearts!
