As a Deacon my first task at Our Holy Redeemer was as spiritual advisor to the Spanish Youth group. Speaking no Spanish at all I was a little worried about how this relationship would develop. But to my joy these kids became part of my family. I have kept in touch with many of them over the years. Now I find one of my Jornadistas a young mother who has a beautiful relationship with the Lord. She went into cardiac arrest last week and is in the hospital. She has been in a coma ever since. We know our God is the God of the impossible and he can raise her up and restore her to wholeness. I offer this prayer for her: I am asking you all to pray with me. Prayer for Cristina’s Healing
Heavenly Father,
We come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up Your precious daughter Cristina, who is lying in a hospital bed in a coma after suffering cardiac arrest
Lord Jesus, You are the Divine Physician, the God of miracles, and nothing is impossible for You.
We ask You to place Your healing hands upon Cristina. Breathe Your life-giving Spirit into her body. Touch every part of her injured brain, restore what has been damaged, and awaken her from this coma.
Lord, where there is injury, bring healing. Where there is darkness, bring Your light. Where there seems to be no hope, reveal Your miraculous power.
Jesus, You called Lazarus from the tomb, You opened the eyes of the blind, and You raised the sick from their beds. We believe that You are the same loving and powerful Lord today.
Surround Cristina with Your mercy. Guide the hands and minds of her doctors and nurses. Give her family strength, courage, and a peace that only You can provide.
Lord Jesus, we place Cristina completely into Your loving hands. We trust in Your goodness, we believe in Your power, and we surrender her to Your holy will.
Blessed Mother Mary, wrap Cristina in your mantle of love and intercede for her before your Son.
Jesus, we trust in You. Jesus, we hope in You. Jesus, we believe in Your healing power.
In Your most holy and precious name, we pray.
Amen.
