How to conquer conflict

Don’t you hate it when you accuse someone of something, only to find out later they didn’t do it… and that someone is your spouse? Yes, guilty as charged! Gaspar and I were cleaning out our home office, which has four floor-to-ceiling bookshelves overflowing with books. We knew it was time to either move or pare down. We started going through the books and making piles: keep… give away… throw away....

The next time you feel an argument brewing, stop and ask yourself if it's worth undermining your relationship.

In my last blog post, I (Michele) shared all the benefits of having a regular date night and how much it will improve your marriage. Another discipline that Gaspar and I recently added to our weekly schedule is a marriage meeting. (We never suggest couples do something that we haven’t first tried ourselves and find valuable.) So we’ve been having a weekly marriage meeting for a while now....

Too many attractive distractions? I’m sure you’ve heard many times that date nights are important and valuable in marriage. Yet, you probably still don’t have one, right? We asked the couples in our class “Why?” Many said they were just “too busy.

We are in the season known as Purim, when Haman plotted the destruction of all the Jews in the Kingdom of Persia. But God raised up an Esther for such a time as this, and she exposed evil Haman's plan and turned the heart of the king. I believe there are many of us who will experience amazing turnaround in our lives this season as well. Things that have been appointed for our destruction and demise will be miraculously turned around for our good and blessing. The Hamans in our lives will be exposed for who they really are. Get ready for your turnaround this week!
