We hold the common faith, which is revealed in the Bible and is common to all genuine believers. As is true of all believers in Christ, we are members of His one Body, the church. Our district is a fellowship of 53 local churches and growing with over 5,000 people regularly attending.

Matthew 28:19–20 reminds us of the Great Commission: to go, make disciples, and remember that we never go alone. Jesus’ promise— “I am with you always”—isn’t just comforting words; it’s a calling backed by His presence and power.

We are grateful for the 50 churches in the Mid-Atlantic District of the C&MA who are living this out every day. Different communities, one mission. Let us stay faithful, stay united, and keep stepping forward with courage—because the One who sends us goes with us.

To say that Julie and I were blown away by the retirement party you created would be a gross understatement. We were surprised by each new event and every expression of your love and appreciation. It has been an honor to have received your trust and a privilege to serve and support you as we strive together to fulfill Christ’s mission for us.

The food was fantastic, the various roasts were hilarious, the outpouring of love that we felt was truly overwhelming. It has taken us several days to process all the expressions of appreciation in the cards that were given. The gifts, gift cards and money you gave were truly humbling. The cardboard cutouts were so realistic they fooled my brothers for a moment!

After consulting with several experts, it seems that receiving a cash prize for sinking those two puts has now put me in the category of a “professional golfer” and I will have to declare that if I play in any tournaments in retirement.
It was so heartwarming to celebrate with all of you, and it is an event we will never forget.

A special moment was celebrating the retirement of Doug and Julie Conley — thank you for your faithful service and lasting impact! 🙏💙⁠

We also elected our new District Superintendent, and we’re excited for what’s ahead as we continue to serve together in unity and purpose. 🌿⁠
