Peace is something we build together a little at a time.

You're invited to Frederick's International Day of Peace celebration, hosted by six local faith communities. It's an afternoon of music, art, conversation, and refreshments. There are plenty of activities for kids: a community mural project, craft stations, and face painting.

Tomorrow marks 25 years since September 11, 2001, a day our country remembers by turning toward one another.

Peacemakers Needed 🕊️

We could all use a few more tools for handling hard conversations. On Saturday, September 19, join Utah State University professors Patrick Mason and Chad Ford, along with Judge Thomas Griffith of Washington, D.C., for an afternoon focused on peacemaking, communication, and conflict resolution.

It's interactive, practical, and designed to give you real strategies you can use at home, at work, and in your neighborhood.

The theme of the Salt Lake City temple celebration is "Rejoice in Christ" and tickets for the 2027 open house are available now.

Everyone is welcome! Anyone can tour the temple after its 7-year renovation. So if you're planning a trip to Utah April 5 - October 1, 2027, why not add a visit to Temple Square and tour the Salt Lake City temple?

Join us today for a worldwide livestream at 12:30 p.m. ET as Church leaders announce the theme for the Salt Lake Temple Celebration and open ticket reservations for this once-in-a-generation experience.

Beginning at 1 p.m. ET, you can reserve free, timed-entry tickets at TempleSquare.org or through the Temple Square app. Tickets are released in batches, so if the first round fills up, more will become available later.

The Salt Lake Temple Celebration runs April 5 through October 1, 2027, in Salt Lake City. All are invited to step inside this historic temple and learn more about its sacred purpose in strengthening our relationship with Jesus Christ.

Today is World Humanitarian Day, and we're grateful for every volunteer, humanitarian worker, and community member who shows up for others in times of need. What if your hardest season isn't a setback, but preparation?

In this week's "Words of Faith" column, President Chris Safsten of the Frederick Maryland Stake looks at David, Joseph, Esther and Moses, each of whom met a trial before they met their purpose. Their struggles weren't detours from the plan. They were part of it.
