Happy Monday everyone! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! Every day I hear of people suffering from various illnesses, diseases or financial struggles. When I hear of this, I think of one word; HOPE! I hope that these people won’t suffer anymore, that they will find the help they need. It reminds me of a scripture from Romans 5:5. It says; hope is "God's love" that has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit.” A good friend of mine sent me a prayer for hope & strength; I hope that this prayer will help you get through your day. "Almighty God, You reach into the darkness with hope, truth and light. Stretch out your strong hand in this situation, hold & rescue those who have suffered. Let your almighty love move mountains, cross seas & breathe life into the darkest places. Light that redeems, Light that restores, Light that heals, Light that protects & Light that saves. There is nothing higher, stronger or greater than your love. We trust in you." Be blessed & a blessing to each other. Live, Laugh & Love! Have a wonderful week filled with Hope!! God Bless you!

Happy Monday everyone! I hope you enjoyed the weekend. I read many books & recently I re-read a book by Max Lucado; it talks about “being a new day, the choice is ours.” Every day, no matter what we do for a living we are exposed to the day’s demands. When these demands arise, we must make a choice. Because of what God has done for us we are free to choose. So, what do we choose? I pray you choose Love when people try to make you angry or bitter; I pray you choose Peace when someone tries to fight you or cause trouble; I pray you choose Patience when the wait is too long; I pray you choose Kindness to the poor because they are alone & hurting. I pray you choose Goodness over being dishonest; I pray you choose Faithfulness when keeping promises, so people will trust & respect you. Max Lucado ends this section by saying; “Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness & self-control, to these I commit my day. If I succeed, I will give thanks. If I fail, I will seek His grace. And then, when this day is done, I will place my head on my pillow and rest.” I pray that after a crazy & busy day, after all the choices you have made, that you are able to place your head on a pillow & rest! Be blessed & a blessing to each other! Live, Love & Laugh! Have a wonderful week! God Bless you!

Hello everyone, I hope all is well! This past Sunday, my two churches; Plainville UMC & Franklinville UMC had an incredible joint service!! We had a great crowd of 80 people in-person & close to 20 people online!! We started the service honoring our fallen soldiers & their families. We wanted to let you know that we appreciate our soldiers & all they did to keep us free! Next, we spoke about the Holy Spirit, since it was Pentecost Sunday. When Jesus ascended into Heaven, Jesus promised that God would send us a great gift & that was the Holy Spirit!! We then had the best part of the service as we Confirmed 6 of our Youth & welcomed 5 adults as members of our churches!! We then did what all Methodist do, we celebrated with a fantastic lunch made up of food from many of our families!! God is so good!! God continues to help us grow both of our churches & blesses us every day! I would like to invite you to come out & visit us during one of our services. We have a Saturday service at the Plainville UMC on Main Rd that starts at 5:00PM. If you cannot make Saturday, we have two services on Sunday. The first is at the Plainville UMC at 9:30AM & the second is at the Franklinville UMC on Coles Mill Rd at 10:45AM. We have a wonderful Sunday school at the Franklinville UMC & we have formed a Youth group with both churches!! So come on out & join us. All are welcome & invited! Looking forward to seeing you at one of our services!! God bless you! Here are some pictures from Sunday. Love Pastor George Lagos – 914-325-9561.

Good day everyone! On this Memorial Day Monday, I hope you have taken some time to stop what you are doing & pay tribute to our Fallen Heroes of the military for their sacrifice to keep us free. I would like to share the following quote from John F. Kennedy: “Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival & the success of liberty.” We have always had a great military; past & present. On this Memorial Day we honor the fallen veterans that fought so hard & showed bravery, courage & love for their country & we pray for their families who lost love ones to war. We are extremely grateful for the sacrifices our veterans gave to protect us! God bless their families! Let’s also reach out to the veterans that are living today. Remind them that their service to their country has not been forgotten. May God continue to comfort you & help you know that you are loved by all of us here in the USA! We have never taken you for granted & we thank you & your loved ones for everything they have done for us to keep us safe & allow us the freedom we celebrate everyday! Be blessed & a blessing to each other! Live, Laugh & Love! God Bless America!
