✨ Sunday Recap ✨
What. A. Sunday. ❤️ There was SO much happening at Discover, and we loved every minute of it!
We started the morning with worship and then heard from our missionary to Honduras, Molly Hornsby! It was so good to hear updates about what God is doing through her ministry and what's coming in the future. 🇭🇳
Pastor Ben continued our series, “The Bible Stories We Outgrew,” with the story of Joseph in Genesis 37–50. We were reminded that Joseph's story is about so much more than a colorful coat. It's a story of betrayal, brokenness, forgiveness, and a God who never leaves.
Through the pit, the prison, and eventually the palace, God's presence with Joseph never changed. Even when life doesn't make sense, God is still working. He doesn't call evil good, but He can bring good out of even the hardest circumstances. And ultimately, Joseph's story points us to Jesus, who meets us in our brokenness and offers hope and redemption. ❤️
We also had a special time of prayer over the Ferguson family as Pastor Bryan prepares to begin his sabbatical. He'll be returning in January, and we're praying this season brings meaningful rest, renewal, and sweet time together as a family. Church family, please continue lifting them up in prayer!
And THEN... FALL FAMILY FUN DAY! 🍂🎉
After both services, we gathered for an afternoon full of food, fun, and fellowship! From the potluck and games to bounce houses, balloons, ice cream, and plenty of laughter, it was such a great day spent together.
A HUGE thank you to everyone who volunteered, brought food, helped set up, served, and made this day possible! We couldn't do things like this without you. And thank you to everyone who came out and spent the afternoon with us. Days like these remind us just how special it is to be part of a church family. 🧡
We love our church family, and we're so thankful for all God is doing at Discover! See you next Sunday at 9:15 or 11:00 AM! ❤️
