We had a fun time connecting with the community at the Benbrook Business Rally / Taste of Benbrook event! It was a great opportunity to share about the church and the Ridglea Giving Garden, and we brought a basket of fresh produce and honey from our hive to give away as a raffle prize.

On Sunday we held our Backpack Blessing for everyone starting a new school year. Whether you're a student, teacher, school staff, or administrator, our church is praying for you! If you need some encouragement as you start this year, here is the blessing shared in our worship service that accompanied our backpack tags that say "You and me? We're neighbors!":

Children of God and neighbors to all,
as you carry your backpack along your adventures this year,
you will encounter many children of God.
Treat the people you meet on your path
with kindness, curiosity, and compassion,
because Jesus taught us to love our neighbors as we love ourselves.
