On behalf of our Pastor, Terry McQueen, Sr., our First Lady, Actavis McQueen, and the entire Historic Johnson Temple, Church of God in Christ family, we pause to honor, remember, and celebrate the life of General Elder Theresa Gardner-Lewis. She was a friend and colleague in ministry to our pastor and a colleague and a former coworker to our First Lady at C. A. Moore Elementary. She was always an encourager, a helper, and a servant. A light in our community. While she wasn’t a member of our church, she left an undeniable mark on the hearts of leaders. She will be remembered as caring, reliable, and trustworthy. She will also be remembered as one whose life was a testament to the goodness of God. We thank God for her time on earth, for the divine assignment she fulfilled while here, and the legacy she leaves behind. Although our hearts ache from this loss, we trust God to comfort and extend peace during this time. We join in prayer with and for the family of General Elder Theresa Gardner-Lewis.
