The church office will be closed today, Tuesday, August 25th as they work on putting in a new water meter. We don't have access to water or restrooms for the day. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Statement from GTLC regarding the vandalism this past weekend on our campus: "As many in the community know, the church was broken into and vandalized in the early morning hours this past Saturday. We appreciate the concern of the local media and community at large. The damage to our campus was able to be cleaned up in a timely manner and we were able to conduct services on Sunday morning without interruption. We give thanks to God that the damage was not more extensive and that nobody was hurt. We give our heartfelt thanks to the Lee County Sheriffs's office for their handling of the scene and care for our facilities. We also hold the perpetrator in our prayers as this person must be going through some difficult times. Again, thank you to the community for their support and prayers. The BeTweens annual Mock Lock last night was….challenging, by design!
They listened to their youth team captains, tested their strength, solved problems, overcame fears the unknown, communicated well and focused on presicion with their teammates. Both teams did so well they continued to tie and it came down to a rock-paper-scissors battle to declare a winning team! These preteens are smart, strong, capable and ready to face whatever the future holds!
BeTweens monthly meetings start next Sunday (with their parents) after the 9:30 service. All 4th-6th graders are welcome to come and see what the BeTweens is all about.

The youth have returned to their families. A singular lolly left, plenty of snacks still though. Many, many, MANY thanks to Mr. S***t, Pastor Jen, the staff of all the churches we stayed at, the program staff of AYM, the staff, everyone supporting our fundraising efforts this year and volunteers of all the organizations we served at and the families of all of the youth for sharing them with us for one amazing week!

Catch us next Sunday to hear all about our adventures to and from Asheville. No promises for coherent answers tomorrow. 😜

The day 7 report brought to you by Haven!

This morning we had to finish packing everything and do chores around the place to keep it clean. We did final worship and we read out declaration of interdependence. We then got in the car for 10 hours to get to Cocoa beach. On the way to cocoa beach we stopped by Buc-ee’s And got dinner. Once we got to the beach we went kayaking and we saw a bunch of little bioluminescent algae with cone jellyfish that glow when you touch them.
