May Their Labor Be Rewarded

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
“And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men.”
— Colossians 3:23 (NKJV)

TODAY’S WORD:
For 22 days, we have prayed for our pastor's strength, family, health, marriage, wisdom, protection, finances, friendships, vision, joy, rest, and future.
But our prayers should not end when Pastor Appreciation Month ends.
Pastors need prayer in January just as much as October.
Let us become a congregation that doesn't merely celebrate leadership publicly but consistently supports leadership spiritually.
May every sermon preached, prayer prayed, person encouraged, tear wiped, hospital visited, family comforted, meeting attended, sacrifice made, and seed planted produce fruit for God's Kingdom.
And may our pastor never forget: God sees what people don't see. God remembers what people forget. And God rewards faithfulness.

PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, thank You for our pastor and for their willingness to answer Your call. Reward their faithfulness and replenish everything they have poured into others. Strengthen their family, protect their health, enlarge their vision, deepen their faith, and renew their joy. May the seeds they have planted produce fruit for generations. Help us become a church that consistently prays for, supports, encourages, and honors our pastor—not only during Pastor Appreciation Month, but throughout the year. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Today and every day, let us honor our pastor with more than words. Let us honor them through prayer, support, love, service, and a commitment to help carry the work God has entrusted to our church.

Pray for the Next Season

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
“Behold, I will do a new thing, now it shall spring forth; shall you not know it?”
— Isaiah 43:19 (NKJV)
TODAY’S WORD:
We often thank God for what our pastor has already done, but today let's pray for what is still ahead.
There are sermons they haven't preached yet. People they haven't met yet. Lives they haven't impacted yet. Ideas God hasn't revealed yet.
Their greatest contribution to the Kingdom may still be ahead.
PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, prepare our pastor for the next season. Open the right doors, provide the right resources, connect them with the right people, and give them courage for every new assignment. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Today, celebrate what God has already done while praying expectantly for what is still to come.

Pray for Rest and Renewal

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
“Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.”
— Mark 6:31 (NKJV)
TODAY’S WORD:
Jesus told His disciples to rest.
If Jesus recognized the importance of rest, the church should too.
Pastors need time when the phone isn't ringing, nobody needs counseling, there isn't another meeting, and Sunday's message isn't waiting.
Rest is not abandoning ministry. Rest helps sustain ministry.
PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, give our pastor meaningful rest. Quiet their mind and replenish their body and spirit. Help our church respect their need for renewal and healthy boundaries. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Today, honor your pastor's need to rest as much as you honor their willingness to work.

Pray for Their Children

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
“All your children shall be taught by the LORD, and great shall be the peace of your children.”
— Isaiah 54:13 (NKJV)
TODAY’S WORD:
Pastors' children should not have to carry unrealistic expectations because of their parents' calling.
They deserve room to grow, learn, mature, make mistakes, and develop their own relationship with God.
Today, cover them in prayer rather than expectation.
PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, bless our pastor's children. Protect their hearts, minds, friendships, futures, and relationship with You. Give them peace and allow them to discover the purpose You have personally designed for their lives. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Today, pray grace over the pastor's children—not pressure.

Pray for Humility

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
“Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up.”
— James 4:10 (NKJV)
TODAY’S WORD:
Influence can grow, platforms can expand, and recognition can increase. But character must remain grounded.
Pray that our pastor always remembers that the ministry belongs to God.
Humility doesn't mean thinking less of yourself. It means remembering who deserves the glory.
PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, keep our pastor humble and dependent upon You. As You increase their influence, deepen their character. Let every accomplishment point people back to You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Today, pray for success that never becomes greater than surrender.

Pray for Joy

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
“The joy of the LORD is your strength.”
— Nehemiah 8:10 (NKJV)
TODAY’S WORD:
Ministry should not only involve responsibility. There should also be joy.
Pray that your pastor laughs often, celebrates victories, enjoys their family, takes vacations, develops hobbies, and experiences life beyond responsibilities.
God did not call pastors to survive ministry. He desires that they experience His joy while serving.
PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, fill our pastor with joy. Give them reasons to laugh, celebrate, and enjoy the life You have given them. Restore joy wherever responsibility has become heavy. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Today, pray that your pastor experiences joy—not just responsibility.

Pray for Discernment

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
“And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in knowledge and all discernment.”
— Philippians 1:9 (NKJV)
TODAY’S WORD:
Not every opportunity is an assignment.
Pastors encounter countless ideas, requests, needs, and voices. They need discernment to recognize what deserves attention and what would become a distraction.
Pray that your pastor knows when to say yes—and has peace when God says no.
PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, give our pastor discernment. Help them recognize opportunities from You and distractions that would consume unnecessary time and energy. Direct their steps. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Today, pray for clarity over every decision your pastor faces.

Pray for Their Health

TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health.”
— 3 John 1:2 (NKJV)
TODAY’S WORD:
Ministry requires spiritual strength, but pastors also live in physical bodies that need care.
Long days, stressful situations, irregular schedules, and the emotional weight of serving others can take a toll.
Pray for your pastor's health. Encourage rest. Respect boundaries. Celebrate when they take time away.
We should not expect leaders to destroy themselves while serving us.
PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father, bless our pastor with health and strength. Help them care for their body, rest without guilt, and recognize when they need to slow down. Restore anything that has been depleted. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Today, pray for a healthy pastor—not simply a busy pastor.
