A Leader Who Sets an Example
TODAY’S SCRIPTURE:
“Moreover, he must be well thought of by outsiders, so that he may not fall into disgrace and the snare of the devil.”
— 1 Timothy 3:7 (NRSVue)
TODAY’S WORD:
Leadership is not simply about titles, positions, or authority—it is about influence. Whether you lead a ministry, a business, a family, or simply the people around you through your daily example, others are watching your life.
Paul reminds us that a leader should be respected not only by fellow believers but also by those outside the faith. Why? Because our actions often speak louder than our words. People may never read a Bible, but they will read the life of a believer.
A godly leader demonstrates integrity, humility, kindness, and consistency. They choose character over convenience and faithfulness over popularity. This does not mean they are perfect, but it does mean they strive to honor God in both public and private.
When we live in a way that reflects Christ, we create opportunities for others to see His love, grace, and truth through us. Our witness becomes stronger when our actions align with our faith.
Today, consider the example you are setting. Are your words encouraging? Are your actions honoring God? Are you leading others closer to Christ by the way you live?
The greatest leaders are those who lead by example.
PRAYER FOR TODAY:
Father,
Thank You for the opportunity to influence others through my life. Help me to be a leader who reflects Your character in my words, actions, and decisions. Give me integrity when no one is watching and humility when others are. May my life point people to You and bring glory to Your name.
In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
