Pastor Magruder's Sunday Sermon is titled "The Feast of the Holy Trinity".

† The Feast of the Holy Trinity † May 31, 2026

The Festival of the Holy Trinity is unique among church festivals. It doesn’t celebrate an important event in the Bible or a person, it celebrates a reality about God. The reality is that the Triune God loves this world. The eternal Father, who created all things, sent the eternal Son to save this sin sick world through His death and resurrection, and the eternal Holy Spirit brings that Word of mercy to the world through the preaching of the Gospel! That is the heart of the Holy Trinity!

The Scripture readings for this day are:

- Psalm 8
- Genesis 1: 1-4
- Acts 2: 14 & 22-36
- St Matthew 28: 16-20

Pastor Magruder's Sunday Sermon is titled "Pentecost Every Sunday".

† The Day of Pentecost † May 24, 2026

Pentecost was an Old Testament harvest festival meant to give thanks to God for His goodness. After the resurrection of Jesus, the day was filled with new meaning. On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit was poured out on the apostles for the sake of preaching the Gospel to the world. We are the blessed recipients of the Holy Spirit’s work in our day through the preaching of that same Gospel.

The Scripture readings for this day are:

- Psalm 25: 1-15
- Numbers 11: 24-30
- Acts 2: 1-21
- Saint John 7: 37-39

Pastor Magruder's Sunday Sermon is titled "Baptism Saves You Now!".

† The Sixth Sunday Of Easter † May 10, 2026

The apostle Peter wrote that “baptism now saves you” (1 Peter 3:21). Baptism is a washing away of sin through the Word of God and water. Baptism is a work of God, not the work of any human being and it delivers to a sinner everything that Jesus died and rose to accomplish. We can trust God’s promise attached to Baptism and rejoice that by it we are saved!

The Scripture readings for this day are:

- Psalm 66:8-20
- Acts 17:16-31
- 1 Peter 3:13-22
- St. John 14:15-21

Pastor Magruder's Sunday Sermon is titled "Your Place is With Jesus".

† Fifth Sunday of Easter † May 3, 2026

Sin drove us from our place with God, leaving us lost and longing for home. Jesus declares himself the Way, the Truth, and the Life. He is the only mediator between the Father and fallen humanity. Through his death and resurrection, he has gone ahead to prepare a place for his people. In baptism, believers are united to Christ and already home. We are never lost, always found in him.

The Scripture readings for this day are:

- Psalm 146
- Acts 6:1-9, 7:2a, 51-60
- 1 Peter 2:2-10
- St. John 14:1-14

Pastor Magruder's Sunday Sermon is titled "Sheep and the Shepherd".

† Fourth Sunday of Easter † April 26, 2026

Jesus describes himself as the Good Shepherd and the door of the sheep. Like sheep, we are prone to wander, unable to save ourselves, and wholly dependent on him. Any teaching not rooted in Christ crucified and risen is the voice of a thief, not a shepherd. Through his death and resurrection, Jesus marks his sheep in baptism, forgives their sins, and keeps them safe in his flock forever.

The Scripture readings for this day are:

- Psalm 23
- Acts 2:42-47
- 1 Peter 2:19-25
- St. John 10:1-10

Jesus is the Good Shepherd and the door of the sheep. Like wandering sheep, we cannot save ourselves — but through Christ's death and resurrection, he forgives, marks, and keeps his flock safe forever. A sermon from Peace With Christ Lutheran Church in Fort Collins, CO.

Pastor Magruder's Sunday Sermon is titled "Sunday".

† Third Sunday of Easter † April 19, 2026

Peter calls people to be saved from a "crooked generation." All people are sinners by nature, bent away from God and in need of repentance. Peter's message was simple: repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus for the forgiveness of sins. Through baptism, the Holy Spirit delivers the forgiveness that Jesus won on the cross to each believer.

The Scripture readings for this day are:

- Psalm 116: 1-14
- Acts 2: 14a, 36-41
- 1 Peter 1: 17-25
- St Luke 24: 13-35

Pastor Magruder's Sunday Sermon is titled "Fear Not".

† Second Sunday of Easter † April 12, 2026

Jesus’ two resurrection day appearances to the disciples brought them joy. Thomas missed Jesus’ first appearance and so doubted the witness of the others. It was the word of Jesus that brought Thomas to faith once again. This is the gift that Jesus gives to us on the second Sunday of Easter!

The Scripture readings for this day are:

- Psalm 148
- Acts 5: 29-42
- 1 Peter 1:3-9
- St John 20: 19-31
