WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO LIVE THE “SALT LIFE”?
In the sermon on the mount, in Matthew 5, Jesus, gave the metaphor of comparing authentic Christ followers to salt and light. 
Why would he do that? What is the significance in this passage and what does it mean for us today?
This is imperative that we not only understand this, but live it out!
Because Jesus said if the salt loses its saltines… It’s good for nothing!… what is he referring to? How can the salt of “the church“ lose it saltiness? What happens to society when the church loses it saltiness? How can we as authentic Christ followers use what we have learned in Romans 8 and respond to the challenge of Jesus now, in the culture in which we exist today, to “Live Salty”?

I WANT TO BE LIKE…CHRIST!
Years ago, Gatorade had a commercial with Michael Jordan and a bunch of kids with the theme “I want to be like Mike!“…the commercial showed images of Michael Jordan in action, and then all the kids on the basketball courts and playgrounds trying to imitate his style!
Romans 8 tells us that if we are authentically saved, we are being formed into the image of Christ!… the Bible tells us that we are to be imitators of Christ!…. What does this mean? What does this look like in the Christian life? 
What is sanctification?… It’s a word that’s thrown around briefly in some churches, but never adequately and fully explained. Tomorrow we take an in-depth dive into what sanctification looks like in the life of the believer, how the Holy Spirit changes us from the inside out… And in this process, our desires begin to change, and we want to be imitators of Christ in our life!

YOU ARE MORE THAN A CONQUEROR IN CHRIST!
