Pastor John has been teaching from the book of ๐„๐ณ๐ž๐ค๐ข๐ž๐ฅ and the messages have been convicting and riveting. Our church family asked for a series of studies on the prophets in the Old Testament. Everyone has been soaking it in. It's so cool every Sunday to see eager discussions among the "Yeshiva" gatherings at the end of every message! โค๏ธ

So thankful for a church family who commits to gather together to worship, study God's Word and support each other every week.
With all that's going on in our lives and the world, making time (even just a couple hours a week) to be present in each other's lives does make a difference! โค๏ธ

We would not be here without our moms..literally. โ€‰
However, we know that Motherโ€™s Day does not mean the same for everyone. โ€‰
Some of us...โ€‰
~ have moms that have left this earth already.โ€‰
~ donโ€™t communicate with our moms.โ€‰
~ have moms who are our close friends.โ€‰
~ have โ€œsubstituteโ€ moms. โ€‰
~ want to be a mom, but are not yet.โ€‰
~ would like a โ€œdo overโ€, as we look back over our younger motherhood years. โ€‰
โ€‰
So many different perspectives and emotions...but in all we do know that God created moms for a reason. โ€‰

Then Ken and Kathy Mitchell reminded us through song that Jesus indeed is Risen! Bro. Rick Darnell shared a beautiful Easter message from Philippians 2... considering the example of Jesus, the Anointed One. His mindset needs to become our motivation! โ€‰

Please Join us this Sunday for Easter! We will start the morning at 7 with a collaborative sunrise service with Living Word Baptist Church (there will be an interpreter provided for this!). We will then have our Living Word Deaf Church service at 10 where we will hear from a special guest speaker and take communion. We hope to see everyone there to celebrate the resurrection of our Savior!

Sunday Recap

Palm Sunday shows us that Jesus is a different kind of King. He came with humility and peace, not power. He showed Godโ€™s love by coming to live among us. The crowd praised Jesus, but they did not understand why He came. Jesus even cried because they did not realize who He really was.
This message reminds us not to just celebrate Jesus, but to truly know Him and welcome Him as the King who came near to save us.

Sunday Recap

This Sunday Pastor John preached on the final portion of our tasks as Christians, the task of multiplying. Using the scripture Matthew 25:14-30 in which Jesus uses the parable of the coins, Pastor John explained that it is our job as servants of Jesus to take what He has given us and go out into the world and let it multiply. This means we must share the gospel with those around us and help lead them to Christ. Letโ€™s all sit and think this week about how we can use what God has given us to better His kingdom.
