Too often, within our families, we believe we are fighting for victory.

Here’s the truth, though: if Jesus Christ is the Lord of your life and the foundation of your family, you’re not fighting for victory, you’re fighting from victory.

Walk not in hopeless desperation.

Walk in victorious hope, knowing that the same Jesus who conquered sin and death can overcome the burdens and pains of our family.

This Sunday, we dive deep into understanding how God can and will transform us to love and disciple our children to the glory of God.

Bring a journal to take truth and direction home with you.

God is transforming us, together, and it’s because the victory is already won!

Heavenly Father,

Today we thank You for this milestone and for the faithfulness You have shown through every lesson learned, challenge faced, and victory achieved. Thank You for sustaining these graduates through seasons of growth, uncertainty, perseverance, and accomplishment.

As they step into a new chapter, grant them wisdom to seek Your will above their own, courage to walk by faith when the path ahead feels unclear, and humility to depend upon You in every season.

Guard their hearts and minds. Shape their character to reflect Christ. Let integrity guide their decisions, compassion mark their relationships, and truth anchor their lives.

When success comes, keep them grateful. When difficulty comes, keep them steadfast. When fear arises, remind them that Your presence goes before them and remains beside them.

Raise up these graduates to be leaders who serve, neighbors who love, workers who honor You, and disciples who shine the light of Christ wherever You place them.

May they remember that their identity is not found in accomplishments, careers, titles, or recognition, but in being deeply loved and called by You.

We entrust their future to Your hands, knowing Your plans are good, Your purposes are eternal, and Your grace is sufficient for every step ahead.

Bless them, guide them, and use their lives for Your glory.

In the name of Jesus we pray,

Amen.

Marriage can be hard.

Seasons change. Communication breaks down. Expectations go unmet.

And sometimes, it can feel like no one understands the weight you’re carrying.

But hear this truth: God is for your marriage.

And this is the greatest hope we can ever have.

His design for marriage was never merely happiness, but holiness; never simply comfort, but Christlikeness.

A Gospel-shaped marriage reflects the love, sacrifice, grace, and commitment of Christ toward His church.

No matter where your marriage is today, God’s grace is able to restore, strengthen, and transform.

Seek Him.

Seek His design for your marriage.

He is good and faithful.

“If you don’t think anyone is for your marriage, know this: God is for your marriage!”

And we are praying for your marriage!

Today, we pray for the families who are experiencing deep loss because of ultimate sacrifice.

Freedom comes with a deep cost.

Thank you to all who paid this cost, and thank you to everyone feeling the grief of loved ones paying this cost.

On this Memorial Day and every day, gratitude fills our hearts as we never forget.

This morning, we dove into God’s design and purpose for marriage.

Together, we pursued the purpose God has for marriage—not merely happiness, but holiness.

As the church, we have the distinct privilege of walking alongside one another: encouraging, praying for, and holding one another accountable in our marriages.

The goal is holiness.

And if you are experiencing pain in your marriage, or if your story has unfolded in ways you never imagined, know this:

Grace abounds, even in painful and unimagined outcomes.

God is faithful.

God is good.

God loves you.

Pray for your marriage, if God has given you a spouse.

Pray for your brothers and sisters in Christ who are married.

Pray for the Gospel to abound in and through the marriages of God’s people.

Seek forgiveness where forgiveness is needed.

Seek change where change is needed.

Protect and pursue your marriage with intentionality and grace.

May our marriages increasingly reflect Christ and His church.

Tomorrow will be a great day at Southside, and we would love to welcome you!

Walking in for the very first time can feel overwhelming, we know.

BUT, walking in leads to relationships and transformation—a community and opportunity for growth you can only find in God’s church.

There is a place for you—a seat for you—a community for you.

Be a part of the TOGETHER at Southside.

You won’t regret making the decision to walk in for the first time, and we will be so glad you did!

What’s the purpose of marriage?

Why did God create marriage?

Is marriage all about my happiness?

Is there hope for my marriage if it is broken?

This Sunday, we’re diving into all of these questions, together, as we continue to understand God’s vision for the family.

Invite someone to come with you, and let’s see how God wants to transform us all.

This Sunday, we gather around the Lord’s table to remember what Christ Jesus has done for us.

Come prepared—heart fully examined—to eat and drink in remembrance of Christ’s atoning work for you.

This is our joy, hope, and peace.

Christ died for us.

Christ arose for us.

Planning for the future.

In this moment, as we walk with God, we are experiencing the glorious hope of the Gospel abound.

Lives are being transformed for eternity.

This is our greatest prayer! This is why we cling to the Gospel—because it only has the power to change!

As we cling to the Gospel, praying and trusting for it to change lives, we want to create as much space as possible for every person God brings to Southside.

Everyone needs a place!

We are dreaming to provide our children and students the best best spaces for discipleship and recreation—spaces that are safe, inviting, and spacious enough for all to have a space.

We are dreaming to reimagine our educational spaces to provide the maximum amount of quality and easily accessible space for all generations to grow in their walk with Jesus and in community.

We are dreaming to reimagine our current worship space and how we can gain greater space, so that everyone has a space to worship, while experiencing God in Christ-centered, Spirit-filled worship.

We are dreaming for a family gathering space to have fellowships and gatherings.

We want our dreams to serve the Gospel work God has called us to do—to know Him and make Jesus known, together.

Wanting to be the best stewards possible, we desire to work with Equip—an architectural firm—to help us reimagine our current facility structures, so we can plan for the future.

Having professionals help us understand the possibilities and financial parameters around our dreams is the first step toward any structural development and growth.

To walk with Equip through a discovery process is a $33,000 adventure.

We believe spending this money now, could save our church millions in the future through faithful planning.

So, far, we’ve raised $18,500 of this $33,000, which is incredible!

We are still trusting the Lord to make a way for us to move forward with this discovery process soon as we plan for the future.

If God is leading you to give, follow this link:

And choose “Planning for the Future.”

We are planning for the future and trusting God—

Planning TOGETHER and dreaming God-sized dreams!

Romans 5:3-5

“Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”

Hope in Christ Jesus—the daily and eternal outcomes the He alone provides—is not unsettled, wish-filled hope.

It’s a certainty—a sureness in the divine character and sovereign reign of our King.

You may be facing troubles of many kinds in this moment.

To whom or what are you turning to for guidance and hope?

All worldly sources of guidance and hope are temporal, fleeting sources with unsure, broken outcomes.

Jesus is sure. He is our only hope.

The hope we have in Christ is the oxygen we breathe as children of the most-high God in a fallen broken world.

Rest in Jesus. Trust Jesus. Allow Jesus to be your greatest Guide, even amid the painful realities of a broken world.

He loved you enough to die and resurrect for you. He loves you enough to be your hope in the middle of the storm—and in every other circumstance.

Breathe the hope of Jesus.
