Telling others about Jesus is a Missional Commitment that we cling to as a church.

And this weekend, Pastor Justin and Southside students are walking in this commitment at the Darlington Raceway as they preach and lead worship for Raceway Ministries on Sunday morning.

As they go, we send them in the power of Jesus, trusting Jesus to use them as vessels of truth and hope for everyone they encounter.

Would you begin praying for them now?

What a joy to be a part of God’s church and to be able to send and go all over this city and to the end of the earth with the Gospel of Jesus.

Thank you for clinging to this commitment, church!

There will be NO Midweek at Southside tonight, so enjoy the evening together with your family!

Slow down, share a meal, laugh, rest, and make some memories with the people God has given you.

But make plans to be back NEXT WEEK for FAMILY NIGHT as we kick off an important new series:

“I Want to Tell Others about Jesus; Now What?”

We believe every follower of Jesus is called to make Jesus known—but sometimes the hardest part is knowing where to begin.

Over the next few weeks, we’re going to learn practical, biblical ways to share the hope of Jesus with the people God has already placed around us.

Bring the whole family next week as we enjoy a meal together, and prepare our hearts for the upcoming weeks of study and growth, together!

There is so much to celebrate about what God is doing at Southside—but Jesus must always be the Hero of our story.

Every life changed.
Every person baptized.
Every family finding community.
Every new face walking through the doors.
Every ministry growing.
Every step of faith we take together.

None of it is ultimately about us.

“If we boast of any successes of Southside, let Jesus always be the subject of our boasting. He is always the Hero of our story!”

We are simply grateful that Jesus allows us to be part of what He is doing.

May we never become impressed with what we have built and forget the One who is building His Church.

All glory to Jesus. Always.

🔥 A CHURCH ON FIRE! 🔥

What a day at Southside!

Today we began our new journey through Acts, Church on Fire: Returning to the DNA of the Early Church, and God reminded us that His church is alive, His gospel is powerful, and His mission is still moving forward!

We are simply grateful for all the goodness and grace God allowed us to experience today.

People worshiping. Families gathering. Lives being encouraged. The Word being proclaimed. The gospel being shared. Baptisms. Communion. And God’s people being reminded that we have been sent on mission!

The church is God’s Plan A—and there is no Plan B.

Jesus has given His church:
🔥 A MESSAGE to proclaim.
🔥 POWER to live on mission.
🔥 A MISSION to fulfill.
🔥 A FIELD in which to serve.
🔥 An URGENCY that reminds us the time is now.

Southside, may we never settle for simply going to church. May we BE the church—Spirit-empowered, gospel-centered, Jesus-exalting, people-loving, and relentlessly committed to making Him known.

What God did today doesn’t end when we leave the building.

The church has been sent. The mission continues.

And we’re believing God for even more in the days ahead!
