Experience The Tabernacle: A Journey Through Biblical History
First Presbyterian Church, located at 700 Park Avenue (corner of Park Avenue and Cherokee Road) in Florence, SC, is hosting a full-scale biblical replica of The Tabernacle on its front lawn from September 26 to October 4. This interactive experience invites visitors to step back in time to Israel during the Exodus, offering a profound exploration of biblical history, worship, sin atonement, and the holiness and grace of God.
Visiting Hours:
Monday to Friday: 4 PM - 7 PM
Saturday: 9 AM - 7 PM
Sunday: 12:30 PM - 7 PM
This ministry travels to areas east of the Mississippi River and was recently on location in Wilson, North Carolina.

Our Jebaily Park is now home to a new bench thanks to an Eagle Scout who took on the task of making the bench as his Eagle Scout project.
Alex Cotran of Florence, a member of Troop 477 in Scouting America, took a big part of a day to carve and stain pine into a beautiful bench, adding cement blocks for it to sit on looking out over Jebaily Drive from the park.
He had several projects in mind but found the city easy to work with so the project quickly progressed. Alex, a member of First Presbyterian Church - Florence, SC (which hosts Troop 477), was joined by another scout Ben Carter and two friends, Connor Hendrix of West Florence High School and Tristan Collins of the S.C. Governor's School for Science and Mathematics.
“We got together at my house and we built it,” Cotran said. “We built all the pieces and measured it out, stained and cut the pieces, all custom measured and made by us over a span of about four hours.”
His mother Noha Cotran said his son showed leadership bringing the team together to make the project happen.
“There is a lot more to it than just the time building the bench,” added longtime scout advisor Tim Fisher, pointing out the project involved hours of paperwork, preparation and coordination with the city.
