Thank you to everyone who helped with the FREE Shopping Day today!!! We had 20 volunteers Wednesday night that helped set up and 40 volunteers today that helped run the sale. Thanks to our faithful sorters that make this day possible by sorting clothing all year long. Without them, we would not be able to have this sale. If anyone would like to help sort for our next sale, please get in touch with Eddie or Louanne Stewart.

Today we served 93 families made up of 126 adults and 163 children for a total of 289 people. Some families had come from Dillon, Sumter, Timmonsville, etc. Each person was allowed to get 25 pieces of clothing so that's about 7,225 items that were given away. It was a great day and LOTS OF FUN!!!!! To God be the Glory!!! GO GOD!!!!

Everything is set up and ready to go for the Free Shopping Day on Saturday so we will not be working Thursday night. A HUGE thanks to our sorters for having everything so organized and thanks to those who helped us set up tonight. A LOT of work happened in about an hour so thanks so much.

We still need clothes and shoes for children and could use more ladies shoes. Calvary parents, please go through your children's shoes and see if there are any they have outgrown that someone else might could use. They can be taken to the gym and put in the right size bin.

Calvary People - The Closet's Free Shopping Day is next Saturday, August 10th. Volunteer sign up sheets have been in Sunday School folders for the last 3 weeks with very few people signing up. We are still in DIRE NEED for volunteers to help set up on Wednesday, August 7 at 6 pm and then on August 10 from 8:45 am till 2 pm. FREE Childcare will be provided on Saturday from 8:30 till noon by reservation by August 7th. If you can volunteer, please comment below or let Louanne Stewart know ASAP. Thanks!

Doors open for registration at 9:15 am. You must be registered by 11 am to be guaranteed a shopping time.

The Closet is offering free clothing
to anyone facing economic crisis.

SHOPPERS: Upon your arrival, you will receive “Closet Dollars” for each of your family members to spend in our store. You will also be given a shopping time for your family.

When it is time for your group to shop, you will be given 30 minutes to make your selections and then you will be asked to check out. While you check out, the racks will be re-stocked and other shoppers will be allowed to shop.

Clothing and shoes are available for infants, children, women, and men on a first come, first serve basis.

The Red Cross needs volunteers tomorrow, Tuesday, September 24 and Wednesday, September 25 from 9 am – 5 pm to help with logistics in the warehouse at the Red Cross Florence Chapter 1601 W. Lucas Street. They will be moving boxes, supplies, etc. related to Hurricane Florence relief efforts.

Anyone that can volunteer should call Sean Hannigan at 843.323.8315 and give him your name. Even if you can only help half of the time, I am sure they will appreciate whatever time you can spare.

Thanks to all of the volunteers that helped with the Free Shopping Day today at Calvary. There were 79 families consisting of 133 adults and 132 children for a total of 265 people who were served. It was a good day! To God be the glory!

Our Free Shopping Day for the Closet is coming up next Saturday, August 11th! We still need LOTS of volunteers for the actual sale on Saturday. If you haven't signed up to volunteer, please let Louanne Stewart know ASAP or comment below. Childcare will be provided on Saturday from 8:30 am - 12:30 pm- BY RESERVATION ONLY by Wednesday, August 8. Lunch will be provided for all volunteers on Saturday.

FREE Shopping Day - August 11, 2018; 10 am - 12 pm at Calvary Baptist Church, 915 Cherokee Road, Florence 29501

This FREE Shopping Day is for anyone who is in economic distress and can benefit from free clothing. You must be registered by 11 am to be guaranteed a shopping time. Doors open at 9:15 for registration with the first shopping time beginning at 10 am.

SHOPPERS: Upon your arrival, you will receive “Closet Dollars” for each of your family members to spend in our store. You will also be given a shopping time for your family.

When it is time for your group to shop, you will be given 30 minutes to make your selections and then you will be asked to check out. While you check out, the racks will be re-stocked and other shoppers will be allowed to shop.

Clothing and shoes are available for infants, children, women, and men on a first come, first serve basis. No documentation of need is required; we go on the honor system. You do not have to have you children with you to get clothes for them.

** BONUS - For this sale we have been given 50+ pairs of brand new shoes in their boxes - men's and women's!

The Closet ministry is actively collecting gently used clothing of all sizes (children's, men's, women's). Children's clothing is especially needed!! You may bring your items to Calvary during office hours Monday-Thursday; 8 am - 5 pm and Friday 8 am - noon.

Tables and bins are set up on third floor to make the sorting more convenient. We realize that this is the same week we have VBS at night but we didn’t want to wait till after July 4th week to try to get started. We need to find out if we have enough clothes to even have an August sale.
