❤️ BEFORE YOU CATCH FEELINGS…

Catching feelings is easy. But feelings were never meant to replace discernment. 👀

Yesterday we learned from Song of Solomon that just because you feel it doesn’t mean it’s time to follow it.

🔥 Chemistry doesn’t equal compatibility.
🚩 Attraction shouldn’t make you ignore red flags.
❤️ And everybody you like doesn’t deserve immediate access to your heart.

Sometimes you have to slow your feelings down long enough for your wisdom to catch up! Because the goal isn’t just to catch feelings.
The goal is to build something healthy enough to keep. ❤️

🔥 THIS RUNS IN THE FAMILY 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒

Today we were reminded that family can pass down more than names, traditions, and traits—it can also pass down patterns.

Favoritism. Silence. Comparison. Manipulation. Unhealed wounds. Broken communication.

But here’s the good news: What runs in your family does not have to keep running through you.

Jacob’s story showed us that family patterns can follow us into new relationships if we never stop to examine them. But it also showed us that God can interrupt the cycle, heal what was handed down, and help us build something healthier.

You may have inherited the pattern, but you do not have to become the pattern. Let the cycle stop here.
Let the healing start here. 🙌🏾

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came out and joined us for our Soul Shop: Su***de Awareness & Prevention event. Your presence, participation, and willingness to engage in such an important conversation helped make this gathering meaningful.

A very special thank you to our presenter, Dante Jennings, for sharing practical information, valuable resources, and real-world tools to help us better understand su***de awareness and prevention. We are grateful for the knowledge you shared and for helping equip our community to recognize warning signs, respond with compassion, and know how to connect someone with support.

Conversations like these matter. Awareness matters. Knowing what to do when someone is struggling matters. And most importantly, people matter. 💚

Thank you to everyone who helped make Soul Shop possible and to each person who chose to spend part of their day learning how we can better support one another.

Shout out to our Health Ministry for organizing a wonderful experience!

Here’s the part we can’t ignore:

Your friends are not God.

There are some weights friendship was never designed to carry.

People can love you and still have limitations.
People can support you and still not have the answer.
People can pray with you and still not be able to change your situation.

Healthy relationships require us to stop demanding from PEOPLE what only GOD can provide.

Love your friends.

Appreciate your friends.

But let God be God. 🙌🏾
