Today the church celebrates the Festival of the Ascension of our Lord, on the fortieth day after Easter remembering that the risen Christ ascends bodily to rule and reign over all creation. Join us at Trinity at 6 pm this evening to observe the festival and to rejoice!

This past Sunday, six young members of our congregation made public confession of the faith in the Rite of Confirmation. We give thanks to God that these young saints have been catechized and have grown in faith in Christ, and we look forward to walking together with them in faith throughout their lives. Happy Teacher Appreciation Week to Stacy Lessman Larsen! Preschool at Trinity has been so blessed under Stacy’s leadership! We are going to miss her lots! I have enjoyed helping her work toward her vision for our preschool. She has set up a library, a nature room, a second play room indoors and a mud kitchen area including tires and pipes outdoors. She allows the kids to explore the woods where they have discovered a climbing tree, a wooden teepee and a pond with a section of so much mud. She has organized the gym supply closet and obtained a climbing structure for the gym. We have early drop off, several play dates and family events throughout the year. Thank you so much for it all Stacy!

On Holy Saturday, the Lord Jesus laid in His tomb, creation waited, knowingly or not, for its ultimate vindication. We gather at Trinity tonight at 8 pm for the Easter Vigil, that we may watch and wait as well, in joyful anticipation of the celebration of the resurrection (spoiler alert: that’s how the service ends!). Please join us tonight at 8 pm for one of the best kept secrets of the church year.
