Elder K. Elbert preached, “The Weight of Leadership Accountability” (Heb. 13:17). Here are a few great “nuggets” from the message:
1. Accountability is part of God’s design for our daily lives.
2. Leaders are tasked with “keeping watch over our souls” and are accountable to God for how they lead.
3. It is not about being controlled—it is about working together in partnership to fulfill God’s purpose for His people.
4. Mutual accountability benefits both the leaders and the congregation, fostering spiritual growth, unity, and effectiveness in fulfilling God’s purpose.
5. The Word of God does not adjust itself to fit our comfort level.
