Edgefield Baptist Church Fayetteville Edgefield is a bible-based multicultural assembly of believers of the Lord Jesus Christ called to love serve and make disciples of Christ.

The history of Edgefield Baptist Church is an interesting one. It all began in 1870, directly after the Civil War, when a few Christian ex-slaves decided to organize a church. The first sermon was preached on a large rock. Later, services were held under a brush arbor approximately one hundred feet from the rock. Some years later, after the donation of an acre of land, the members built a church o

ff of Highway 54 in Fayetteville, Georgia at the edge of a field. That is how the church received its current name, “EDGEFIELD”.
