Fellowship of Christian Airline Personnel International - FCAP To see Christians connect in every area of the airline/aviation workplace throughout the world

To encourage Christians to walk with the Lord Jesus Christ, enjoying His presence and possessing His power to be “salt and light” on the job God has given them in the airlines and, to encourage the Christian airline employee to help carry out the Great Commission, introducing fellow employees to Jesus Christ and helping them grow toward spiritual maturity.

Ever been aboard an aircraft climbing through stormy skies and then suddenly “breaking out on top” into sunny blue skies?

So it will be for the people of God, and those who will become His children between now and the triumphant return of Jesus Christ.

Our Lord has always been in the business of bringing good out of evil. Yes, these are dark days for the world, but both directly, and through His people, God will make the light shine even brighter in that darkness.

When He does, we may know the joy of seeing the ranks of the redeemed on this planet increase beyond what we ever would have imagined possible not so very long ago.

"But for you who fear my name, the sun of righteousness shall rise with healing in its wings.” -Malachi 4:2

“Throwback Thursdays” are a weekly journey into the past of our industry. If any of you have specific airlines/airplanes, you’d like to see featured feel free to “drop us a line” and we will see if we can find them for you.

Eastern flew a fleet of 15 Boeing 720’s (a shorter, medium-range version of the 707) from 1961 to 1970. Starting early in 1965 all these aircraft were progressively repainted in EAL’s new Mark livery, better known, informally, as the “hockey stick.” This photograph, taken at Miami International in either 1965 or 1966, shows three Eastern 720’s with the primary subject being “N8710E” in the foreground. Eastern never lost a 720 in an accident and the entire fleet was traded to Boeing in 1969/70 as partial payment for the first batch of the airline’s new 727-225’s.

Airlines are having to divert their flights around quite a few “hot spots” in the world these days. “Wars and rumors of wars” abound and fear, in general, seems to be growing in many people’s hearts. How do we, as Christians, respond in the face of all that is going on today?

It is true that fear is sometimes the motivation for people to cry out to the God they had once ignored, but the better motivator is love. Love is enfleshed in us, embodied in believers. Christians living during this critical time in history need to show that perfect love truly does cast out fear. By our calm in the face of true danger, we can become a beacon to an increasingly anxious world. An inner peace that passes understanding is very attractive when outer peace is nowhere to be found.

“There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear.” -1 John 4:18
