Sometimes the hardest part of preaching isn’t explaining the text.
It’s knowing how to invite a student to respond without trying to manufacture a moment. Because we’ve all felt that tension.
You want students to take Jesus seriously. You want them to repent, trust, confess, pray, surrender, reconcile, and obey.
But you also know tears are not always repentance, and silence does not always mean nothing happened.
This week’s SSM Journal article is about giving Gospel invitations with clarity, care, and confidence.
Not manipulation, pressure, or emotional theater.
