Baptism is a beautiful declaration of the life-changing work of Jesus. It’s an outward expression of an inward transformation. It’s how we declare publicly, “I once was lost, but now I’ve been found. I’ve been made new in Christ.”

Every baptism is a testimony of God’s grace and a reason for the church to celebrate, and at Frontline, we believe these moments should feel like a family celebration.

This sermon from Matthew 5:21–26 explores how Jesus transforms our understanding of anger, judgment, and righteousness in the Kingdom of God. Jesus moves beyond the external command “do not murder” and reveals that the heart behind our actions matters, exposing how anger, insults, and self-righteous judgment can separate us from others and from God. He calls His people not only to avoid harm but to pursue reconciliation, humility, and restored relationships before worship. Through the story of an RV and the weight of feeling betrayed, the sermon reveals how easily we hold others to debts they cannot repay while forgetting the greater truth that we ourselves have a debt of sin we could never repay. Yet the gospel declares that Jesus, the perfect Judge and Savior, paid our debt through His sacrifice, freeing us from both the burden of condemnation and the desire to condemn others. Because Christ has forgiven us, we are called to live as citizens of His Kingdom: reconciled, humble, forgiving, and trusting that our ultimate justice is found in Him. We’re excited to partner with One Harbor Church for the Good Men Conference 2026!

Once a year, we take the opportunity to gather with hundreds of other men to be strengthened and reminded of what God has called us to as men. Men gathering in small groups, at men’s breakfasts, and in other settings is incredibly helpful in this endeavor. But there’s something significant about a large group of men coming together to have our heads lifted and our hearts stirred.

This is not a conference devoted to hearing about how we’re all screwing up as men. Most of us already deal with enough internal dialogue telling us we aren’t good men. This is an opportunity to spend a few days together being encouraged and strengthened.

Join us on Friday, June 19th at 6p. We’re gathering to worship in song and in prayer. We’re asking God to stir up fresh affection in us, deposit more gifts of the Spirit in us, and to cultivate expectancy for the Kingdom in our community. Kids Ministry will not be open, but we welcome the whole family to come together as we worship and seek the Lord!
