Join us for an exciting half-day conference certain to both challenge and encourage you!

Have you wondered about A.I.? Is it just another tool? What might be the unintended consequences of uncritical adoption? Looking forward... how might the Church posture herself in light of the so-called "A.I. revolution"?

The event will feature several thought-provoking sessions and culminate in a keynote from Dr. Read Mercer Schuchardt. Dr. Schuchardt is associate professor of communication at Wheaton College. He earned his doctorate under the invitation of the late Neil Postman at NYU’s Media Ecology program. He is also a member of the Media Ecology Association and the International Jacques Ellul Society. He is the author and a contributor to many books and academic papers - Scrolling Ourselves to Death: Reclaiming Life in a Digital Age; Media, Journalism, and Communication: A Student's Guide; You Do Not Talk About Fight Club: I am Jack's Completely Unauthorized Essay Collection.

Coffee and light refreshments will be provided at no cost.

Doors open at 8:30 AM. The conference will begin promptly at 9:00 AM.

This conference is being brought to you by Anchor New England in partnership with The Gospel Alliance of Maine.

You won’t want to miss this. conference... A.I. and the End of the World

This isn’t just another tech conference. At A.I. and the End of the World, we’re going deeper than hype or fear. We’ll examine how artificial intelligence and digital technologies are reshaping what it means to be human and how we, as God’s image-bearers and covenant people, can respond with wisdom, clarity, and faithfulness.

You’ll gain fresh insight into:
* How our tools are quietly forming (and deforming) our souls, relationships, and communities
* The theological and cultural implications of AI
* Practical ways to protect and reclaim our God-given humanity in a digital age

The conference will feature several compelling sessions and culminate in a powerful keynote from Dr. Read Mercer Schuchardt, Associate Professor of Communication at Wheaton College.
Dr. Schuchardt earned his Ph.D. under the personal invitation of the late Neil Postman in NYU’s renowned Media Ecology program. He is a member of the Media Ecology Association and the International Jacques Ellul Society, and a leading voice on media, technology, and culture. He is the author of Scrolling Ourselves to Death: Reclaiming Life in a Digital Age and a contributor to multiple books and academic collections, including You Do Not Talk About Fight Club.
