HOLY FOREVER COMMISSIONING 2026

PROMOTION OF LIEUTENANT CHRISTOPHER ROCKWELL TO CAPTAIN AND HIS NEW APPOINTMENT AS THE CORPS OFFICER OF THE FORT COLLINS SALVATION ARMY AND LARIMER COUNTY COORDINATOR

APPOINTMENT OF CAPTAIN CRYSTAL BIRKS AS THE CORPS OFFICER OF THE FARMINGTON SALVATION ARMY

Our Farmington Corps family celebrates what God is doing through The Salvation Army! 🙌

HOLY FOREVER!

We rejoice in the 2026 “Holy Forever” Commissioning Service, which reminded us with joy and conviction that God continues to call, equip, and send His people to serve.

We give thanks for the Keepers of the Covenant Session as they begin ministry as newly commissioned officers. We pray God’s blessing over their appointments, their leadership, and the communities they will serve.

We allow their “yes” to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to encourage our own continued “yes” here in Farmington. We commit ourselves to worship Him unswervingly, lead faithfully, love boldly, and live as people set apart for His purposes.

PROMOTION AND MARCHING ORDERS FOR CAPTAIN CHRISTOPHER ROCKWELL TO FORT COLLINS AND LARIMER COUNTY

We give thanks for five years of faithful service to Jesus through The Salvation Army as Captain Christopher Rockwell has served as the Farmington Corps Officer. We celebrate that Lieutenant Christopher Rockwell was officially promoted to Captain Christopher Rockwell on June 13 in Los Angeles.

We now prepare to send Captain Rockwell to Colorado in the Intermountain Division of The Salvation Army, where he will begin serving as the Corps Officer of the Fort Collins Salvation Army and Larimer County Coordinator. We will send him forward with gratitude, prayer, and confidence as he steps into new horizons and opportunities with Jesus in Northern Colorado.

We will gather for Captain Rockwell’s farewell Sunday worship service on Sunday, June 28, at 11:00 a.m. at the Farmington Corps. We invite our church family, friends, and community partners to join us as we thank God for his ministry here and bless him as he follows God’s call into this new appointment.

APPOINTMENT OF CAPTAIN CRYSTAL BIRKS TO FARMINGTON

We also joyfully welcome Captain Crystal Birks as she begins serving Jesus and The Salvation Army here in the Southwest Division of The Salvation Army in Farmington and throughout San Juan County.

We give thanks for the 13 years of ministry experience Captain Birks brings with her, and we know she will come to love the people of Northwest New Mexico just as Captain Rockwell did when he first arrived from The Salvation Army College for Officer Training.

We will welcome Captain Birks as she officially begins her appointment after Captain Rockwell’s departure on June 30. We will gather for her first Sunday worship service on July 5, right after we celebrate 250 years of independence and freedom as Americans.

We invite everyone to join us as we give thanks, say farewell, and extend a warm Farmington welcome.

May we remain Holy Forever, in Jesus’ mighty name! 🙏

Unfortunately, this is some of the reason we no longer have funds for certain programs, such as food bags and more weekly feedings. We are constantly having to pay for services to clean up messes like this and the vandalism. Please take your trash to the dump, thank you.
