Last Sunday we....

- Continued our discussion of Common Grace in the Systematic Theology Class.

- We sang about God being judge as well as his grace: And Can it Be?; All My Boast is in Jesus; Jesus, Our Judge and Our Savior; Savior Like a Shepherd Lead Us; Our Great God; Before the Throne of God Above.

- Kevin Bielecki preached, "God Judges Righteously" from Psalm 139:19-24.

We had a wonderful Sunday together!

- We continued our discussion of Common Grace in our Systematic Theology Class.

- We sang about God's goodness and grace in our pain: All Things, My Soul Will Wait (Psalm 62), His Glory and My Good, Leaning on the Everlasting Arms, I Will Wait for You (Psalm 130), Ancient of Days.

- Pastor Josh finished our nearly two year long series on Colossians. He preached, "The Ministry of Suffering" from Colossians 4:17-18. (You can watch that message and all our messages on our website, and YouTube Channel. Every sermon is also uploaded to Spotify and Apple Podcast).

God doesn't waste our suffering. He has purpose in our pain.

Oh, victory in Jesus, my Savior forever! He sought me and bought me with his redeeming blood. He loved me ere I knew him, and all my love is due him. He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood.

I heard about his healing, all his miracles revealing, that he alone can save a soul and set the captive free. I'm happy in his promise; how soon he's coming for us, and home with him I'll sing again: "Christ won the victory!"

We had a joyful Sunday at Higher Ground. We handed out flowers and continued our series in Colossians! Here is the Sunday Recap:

- In our Systematic Theology Class we looked at Common Grace.

- We sang about God's faithfulness and his keeping of his people ("All Hail the Glorious Christ," "Praise, My Soul, the King of Heaven," "He Will Be," "He Will Hold Me Fast," "Great is Thy Faithfulness," and "Christ is Mine Forevermore."

- Pastor Josh preached Colossians 4:14, "The Ministry of Faithfulness." In order to persevere in Christ, we must take pleasure in Christ.

- Gabby and Val handed out flowers to our HGC Moms to show our appreciation for them!
