Milwaukee Hmong Company Organized
On May 30, Elder Titus Naftanaila, President of the Wisconsin Conference, and Pastor Bill Ochs, Ministerial Director, led the special ceremony to officially organize the Milwaukee Hmong Company.
This milestone marks an important step in the growth of the Hmong ministry in Wisconsin. For many years, the Milwaukee and Cornerstone (Madison) Hmong congregations functioned together as one company. As both groups have grown and developed their own ministries, it became appropriate to establish them as separate entities to better serve their members and communities.
The Wisconsin Conference is also looking forward to the organization of the Cornerstone Hmong Company in Madison, which is scheduled for September. We praise God for His leading in the expansion of Hmong ministry and pray that both companies will continue to grow spiritually, disciple believers, and share the gospel throughout Wisconsin.

Spring Volunteer Lay Pastor Training takes place May 15-17

20 Lay pastors from around the state gathered at the conference office May 15-17 for their spring training. The two themes covered during this weekend were Church Growth and Theology. We had three presenters, Pastors Myoung Kwon, Tim Kwon, and Cid Leopoldino, present on these themes.

On Friday evening, Pastor Myoung of the Waukesha Community church presented on church attendance retention, applying the intergenerational ministry method. This method helps the spiritual and qualitative internal growth of the church families.

The following day, the lay pastors spent all day learning from Pastor Tim (Madison East Church) on the topic, “The Commandments of God and the Faith of Jesus.” Throughout the day, the lay pastors were deeply engaged with the Word of God and interacted vibrantly with the presenter. The thorough theological study provided a deeper understanding of God’s grace and His love.

Pastor Cid (Milwaukee Northwest Church) also serves as the lead of the center-of-influence project in Milwaukee. With his experience and expertise, Pastor Cid presented on Sunday on how to effectively grow the church. The presentation was titled, “A Church on Mission.” He not only shared the theory of church growth but also practical ideas and methods for implementation at local churches.

The next VLP training takes place from November 6-8, during which we will cover Spiritual Life and Practical Ministry. If the Holy Spirit is inviting you to become a lay pastor, please talk to your local church pastor.

Cross Point Young Adult Sabbath

Last month, La Crosse SDA Church hosted its annual Young Adult Sabbath, led entirely by CrossPoint — a growing young adult collective focused on leadership, community, and faith in action.🤝✨

Throughout the day, young adults led worship, facilitated meaningful discussions on the cross, and spent the afternoon serving residents at Hillview Health Care Center through music, prayer, and handmade Easter cards. 🎶🙏📨

What stood out most was the spirit behind it all: genuine connection, compassionate service, and young people using their gifts to minister to others. From heartfelt worship to evening fellowship, tacos, games, and laughter, the Sabbath became a beautiful reminder of what happens when faith is lived out together. 🌮😊

CrossPoint continues to bring energy and purpose to young adult ministry in La Crosse, with even more already being planned for the months ahead.

"So God created the great creatures of the sea and every living thing with which the water teems and that moves about in it, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good." ~Genesis. 1:21.
