What a joy it was to gain a deeper understanding of the ministry happening at Love INC!

This past week we hosted out first “Field Trip” event. Nine ladies from a Ladies Bible study at Peace Wesleyan Church served as our test subjects for our first tour. As we walked the ladies through our office, we shared our intake process, neighbor stories, volunteer activities, the redemptive compassion approach to our work and they had the opportunity to select the requested items for a couple of our neighbors. The items will be delivered this week. It was a blessing for us all to have them asking questions and the care they put into the selection of the items. It was a great event for growing and learning about the ministry.

Charlie is man in his 40’s lives on his own, with assistance from mother and brother, who help with his bills. He is very guarded about giving out about his situation. He is disabled and unable to work. He is asking for pots, pans, cleaning supplies, and toiletries.

Harold is a man in his 50’s who was homeless for almost 2 years. He was pulled over for driving an unregistered vehicle, which he was living in, and it was impounded. He put him up in a hotel. He is unable to work as he has a heart condition. He has found an apartment and is asking for a bed/bedding, couch, coffee table, A/C unit, and kitchen items.
