Tonight in Brick Blast, the kids learned about Peter’s miraculous escape from prison in Acts 12:1-16. While Peter was locked behind prison doors, the church gathered together and prayed earnestly for him. God heard their prayers and sent an angel to set Peter free!

This powerful story reminded us that prayer is never wasted. God hears us, works in ways we cannot see, and is able to do what seems impossible. Just as the early church faithfully prayed for Peter, we can trust God with every situation we face.

We had a great time learning that prayer is powerful because our God is powerful!

Tonight in Brick Blast Club, we learned about Joshua and the Promised Land from Joshua 1:6-9 and Joshua 6:1-20. We discovered how God encouraged Joshua to be strong and courageous, reminding him that He would be with him wherever he went. We also learned about the Battle of Jericho and how the Israelites trusted God’s unusual instructions. Through their obedience and faith, God caused the mighty walls of Jericho to fall down!

To help bring the story to life, the kids had the opportunity to build their own walls of Jericho and have some fun recreating the event. It was a great hands-on way to learn that when we trust and obey God, He can do amazing things!

Today was a special day at church as we celebrated water baptism!

Baptism doesn’t save us, but it is a beautiful outward expression of the inward work Christ has done in our lives. We are so proud of him for boldly sharing his faith and taking this important step in his walk with Jesus.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”
2 Corinthians 5:17

A huge thank you to the wonderful ladies who came to help with VBS crafts today! We may have been a small group, but we were able to get a few projects started.

There is still quite a bit left to prepare, so I’ll be planning another workday soon. Most likely a weekday this time.

If you’ve been looking for a way to get involved, this is a great opportunity! The workload gets much lighter when more people are able to jump in and help.
