We are very excited to announce that we have hired a 4th grade teacher for next year! Please help me welcome Mrs. Anna Bents to the SJV family!

Hello! My name is Anna Bents, and I am excited to join the SJV family as a teacher this fall. I have 20+ years of experience in education and am passionate about creating a positive, engaging classroom where students feel supported and encouraged to grow. I received by bachelor’s degree in K-6 education from Minnesota State University, Mankato with a 5-8 Math and K-12 Reading Specialist licensure. I earned my Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from St. Mary’s University.

Outside of the classroom I enjoy spending time with my family, husband Ian, daughter Ava (20), and sons Owen (17) and Easton (11). We love attending all their activities. I also love to read, go on walks, and spend time at our family cabin. I am looking forward to building relationships with students, families, and staff!

3rd and 4th graders were able to tour the Law Enforcement Center today, have a fun lunch at Gomsrud, and ended the day with a treat from the Dairy Freeze that included ice cream and extreme Simon Says with Father Tim! Fun day!!
