Another good Sunday; we explored more of God’s presence, worshiped, prayed, and held a time of communion to reflect on the grace and forgiveness found in Jesus. Our service featured various community updates, including praying for our local schools, the upcoming women’s retreat, and our new discipleship program starting September 10th. In the message, pastor Nick Burton explored how we can seek divine direction by looking to the Holy Spirit rather than just wanting specific answers, emphasizing the importance of aligning our heart and life with God’s character. We concluded with a time of confession and prayer, encouraging everyone to walk in the path of the Lord.

Yesterday’s service centered on the theme of cultivating an intimate relationship with God and the value of community support. We opened with worship and prayer, followed by communion where we reflected on the significance of the torn temple curtain as an invitation for everyone to draw near to God. During the main message, we explored the concept of spiritual opposition and the importance of relying on both spiritual weapons and a supportive community to navigate challenges. We then had a dedicated time of prayer and encouragement for children and teachers as the new school year begins.

This past Sunday we explored the importance of remaining connected to God’s presence, even during challenging times. Pastor Dennis used the biblical account of King Hezekiah to illustrate the necessity of spiritual obedience and the danger of allowing deliberate or inadvertent idols to obstruct one’s relationship with the divine. The message emphasized that while life in a broken world often brings external conflict, true spiritual strength is found through confession, vulnerability, and a constant, consecrated focus on Jesus Christ as the ultimate source of purification and guidance.
