We are living in a time where everything is being shaken—truth, identity, families, even the Church. What once seemed stable is being exposed, tested, and refined. This is not the hour to be distracted or spiritually asleep… this is the hour to be ready.
Jesus warned us in Matthew 25 about the ten virgins. All of them had lamps—but only five had oil. When the Bridegroom came, it wasn’t about who looked prepared… it was about who actually was prepared.
The oil matters.
So what is the oil?
The oil is your intimacy with God.
It is the hidden place.
It is the secret history you build with the Lord when no one is watching.
The oil is:
– Time in His presence
– Obedience to His voice
– A surrendered heart
– The Word of God living inside of you
– The Holy Spirit actively flowing through your life
It cannot be borrowed.
It cannot be transferred.
It cannot be faked.
The oil comes from pressing.
Just like natural oil is extracted through crushing, spiritual oil comes through surrender, trials, and choosing God when it’s hard. It’s built in the quiet yes, the unseen obedience, the moments where you die to your flesh and choose His will.
Why do we have it?
Because the days are dark—and lamps without oil don’t burn.
Because deception is increasing—and only those rooted in truth will stand.
Because when the Bridegroom comes, there won’t be time to run back and get what should’ve already been cultivated.
How do we get it?
You get oil by abiding.
You get oil by staying connected.
You get oil by seeking Him daily—not occasionally.
You pray even when you don’t feel like it.
You open your Bible even when it feels dry.
You worship when life is heavy.
You repent quickly.
You guard your heart.
You stay watchful.
This is not about religion—this is about relationship.
Right now, many are running on empty lamps, relying on yesterday’s encounters, yesterday’s fire… but yesterday’s oil will not sustain you in today’s battle.
Trim your lamp.
Refill your oil.
Stay awake.
The Bridegroom is coming—and only those who are ready will enter in.
